CLEAR THINKING hasn't done anything wrong to date having won both of his career runs to date. He comes to town now for the first time after the 2 wins at Scone both at short prices and has come up short again here. While he could be a winning chance, he needs to handle a rise in grade and a heavy track so thinking while he is below even money, there may be value in a small lay against him at that price.
Randwick: Race 10; #10 Pure Alpha
PURE ALPHA has now had a slightly interrupted prep since his last run when missing out on a start with the recently abandoned Saturday meeting. No doubt he comes into the race at a good fitness level, but he has drawn out in a wide barrier and with speed drawn below him, there is the potential that he is made to do some extra work from a wide position which may test him late after the slightly interrupted prep.
