Flemington: Race 4; #1 Front Page 

Nadal went to a new level last start from a ratings perspective, in well at the weights and drawn the right side of the track. Rey Magnerio also drawn right side on the back-up.

I don't put much stock in the pure stats, (eg. second-up record) rather what rating that horse produced second-up and in the case of Front Page, they are both telling the same story. He is 5/10 first-up and 1/8 second-up and has significantly come off his first-up rating, second-up at his last four preparations.

Flemington: Race 7; #9 Pride of Jenni (PLACE) 

I'm laying Pride Of Jenni place only, she looks cooked and the decision to take Bates off and put Melham on, coupled with the owners comments pre the Cox Plate make me think that the instructions will be to not go fast on her early. If that is the case I don't think she can run top three.

Rosehill: Race 3; #5 Gentileschi 

This is a very open race which only makes the run trickier for GENTILESCHI. Drawn out in a horribly wide barrier, she may have no option but to get back in the field and that potentially sees her land in an awkward position and possibly needing luck late for a run. Given how open the race is as well, happy to take her on given the race map.
