WARWICK FARM SATURDAY

RACE 2: (3) DIDNTCOSTALOT: This Marc Conners-trained colt puts his unbeaten record on the line on what is certain to be a testing track but should cope with the conditions judging by the ability he has displayed on soft tracks. After easy provincial wins at his first two starts in October he went for a short spell after a convincing win on a slow track over this course and distance in November beating the above average Safusa. Showed he had come up well after his break with an easy barrier trial win on a slow track at Warwick Farm on January 17, raising the confidence that he is ready to take on this well performed field first-up.

RACE 4: (1) FIRST LOOK: The opposition for this good wet tracker is limited after some important early scratchings and even with 59kg she is going to be very hard to beat under her favourite conditions. She is a four time winner on slow and heavy tracks and clearly rates as the horse to beat in this field with any natural improvement from her excellent first-up second over 1200m at Rosehill on January 21.

RACE 8: (6) ROLLING PIN: This model of consistency should prove hard to beat under ideal conditions with the drop back in distance from his last start when he couldn't hold off the promising Single over 1800m at Rosehill carrying 60kg and conceding 6kg to the winner. He had won his previous two starts over 1550m and 1600m at Canterbury and Warwick Farm (beating subsequent Australia Day Cup winner Wazn) and could not be better placed with a 5.5kg drop in weight from his last start. He meets some of his major rivals on considerably better weight terms from their recent clashes and being unbeaten in two starts on slow and heavy tracks seals the deal.
