Early Mail and Blackbook Update for March 26.

ROSEHILL SATURDAY

RACE 1 (6) DRAGON FLYER: Right out of luck over 1350m at this course on March 12 when travelling like a winner on the back of the leaders before he found himself blocked for clear running over the last 300m when rider took wrong options. That was just his second run back from a break and a clear indication that he is going well enough to win in this class.

RACE 2: (3) CRAFTY COP: Made an impact cruising home at first race start over 1100m at Warwick Farm to vindicate the high opinion held of him by connections. Surprised with the speed he displayed to lead easily considering he is bred to be better over more ground. Can only improve with the benefit of that experience and appeals as the type to go right on with it.

RACE 4: (2) MALAGUERRA: Shaping as the next big thing in the sprinting ranks. Could not have been more impressive winning first-up over the straight 1000m at Flemington, proof that he has progressed in the right manner since his impressive spring campaign. If he’s to be a Group One sprinter of the future he should be able to put this field away, given the rails draw will be a big help for a horse having his first right handed start.
