ROSEHILL September 5

There was a lot of interest in the first Sydney trial of BUSTLING, the boom three-year-old from Perth.

Transferred to Mick Price and Michael Kent for his spring prep, he's already been locked into an Everest start after winning four of his first five starts in Perth over just eight weeks in March and April.

The Frosted gelding finished second in a trial at Casterton last month before his switch to Sydney and he didn't disappoint with an efficient all the way win in his 900m heat, working well within himself to beat the classy mare Makarena in good time for the session (54.10; 33.87).

A dual G1 winner and an unraced 3YO filly were standout performers in their heats.

BROADSIDING (James Cummings): The Champagne Stakes and JJ Atkins winner is primed to start his spring with a bang after a classy second in his 900m heat won by the free running Keysborough (54.27; 34.52). He was 10 lengths off the winner on the turn but oozed class getting into his work over the last 150m to be just over a length away at the finish. Surged through the line under a big hold from James McDonald.

IOWNA BENZ (Bjorn Baker): Unraced Winning Rupert filly breezed to a five lengths win in the fastest 900m heat (53.58; 34.51), improving on two previous trials to run to a clear lead after 200m and maintain her advantage under no pressure from Rachel King. She's ready for a suitable maiden.

TOM KITTEN was another G1 star to trial impressively. He was given an easy tick over trial following his first-up win, working easily under a big hold to finish second in a slow 1030m heat (64.27' 34.69) that he could have won if J Mac had let him off the leash.

Epsom Handicap winner REDIENER – an easy second in his 900m heat - and the sharp sprinter SPACEWALK - leading for an easy win in the fastest 1030m heat (62.02; 34.57) - were other Group performers responsible for pleasing trials.

Maiden heat winners with good prospects include NORTHERN EAGLE, ZOUBABY and BREMEL.
