ROSEHILL November 14

A Grass; Soft 5

11 Heats – 5 x 1030m (3 Open; 2 Maiden); 6 x 900m (1 Open; 2 2YO; 3 Maiden)

FLY SCOTTY FLY (Gerald Ryan/Sterling Alexiou): Unraced Brazen Beau gelding won his first trial at Hawkesbury in April and remains unbeaten after a strong win his 800m heat (54.02; 34.14). Maintained a comfortable lead from the start and was held back to them over the last 200m, giving the impression he could have won by a much bigger margin.

The previously noted PAPARACHA was another maiden to make a good impression, posting the fastest time in the 900m heats (53.78; 33.77). He extended easily for a dominant 1.5 lengths win. GALLO NERO was clearly the better of the two juvenile heat winners over 900m in faster time (54.60; 34.12) than the other trial won THE PLAYWRIGHT (54.84; 34.85).

HAWKESBURY November 14

Inside Grass; Good 4

15 Heats – 1 x 1250m (Open); 4 x 1000m (2 Open; 2 Maiden); 10 x 800m (3 Open; 2 2YO; 5 Maiden)

Some nice prospects should emerge from this session.

FERINZO (Jake Hull): He was the 2YO star of the Grafton carnival in July and is set to this progress this season after a classy win in his 800m heat (49.59; 34.26). Extended nicely over the closing stages for a soft 1.5 lengths win.

LORD OF BISCAY (Kris Lees): Strong work to finish a close second in his 1000m heat won by his speedy stablemate ETUDE (58.59; 33.71). He's an import with plenty of scope to improve on what he showed in his first local prep last season after he won two of his first four starts in the UK up to 1700m.

LULL (James Cummings): Godolphin youngsters filled the placings in the first 2YO heat over 800m won by MATIMA (49.25l 34.94) but they were put in the shade by the effort of this stablemate. The Exceed And Excel filly won the second juvenile heat in much faster time (48.24; 33.73) and is set for a bold debut after she cruised to the line with plenty in reserve.

NIGHT SKY (James Cummings): It's been a long wait since this Exosphere filly went into the blackbook after winning her debut trial at Warwick Farm last season. This was her fourth trial and her obvious ability was again on show as she was eager to run sitting three deep outside the leaders in her 800m heat (48.96; 33.50) before extending easily when called on to put the trial bed. Ran through the line with ease to score by a soft 1.4 lengths.

YES SIREE (Claire Lever): Nice debut trial by this Yes Yes Yes gelding. Led his 800m heat comfortably and gave a good kick off the turn to coast home by two lengths in sharp time (48.62; 32.83). Should hold plenty of scope for improvement off this trial.
