ROSEHILL July 12

Inside Grass; Heavy 9

16 Heats -5 x 1023m (3 Open; 1 2YO; 1 Maiden); 11 x 900m (2 Open; 6 2YO; 1 3YO; 2 Maiden)

Plenty of worthy trials that should lead to coming winners.

CANPIKAPONY (Chris Waller): Compact racy filly by Zousain looks set to improve sharply on her only start in March after showing good acceleration to win her 900m heat with ease. Peeled three wide at the 400m and showed a nice change of gear to easily run past the leaders and coast clear to win by almost two lengths.

IRON MAN (Edward O'Rourke): A strong tick over trial from this lightly raced 4YO to keep him up to the mark since his win at Canterbury last month. Settled at the rear before sprinting home strongly for an impressive third in the fastest 900m heat (55.06; 35.09).

MAORI CHIEF (Chris Waller): Promising second trial by this unraced I Am Invincible colt. Sat off the leaders three wide but was always travelling well within himself and never came off the bridle to get the upper hand in his 900m heat and work strongly through the line in good time for the session (55.31; 36.20). The runner up WINCHESTER led and his work to hold his ground with the winner also had merit.

NOTED TRIALS

XX Canpikapony; Iron Man; Maori Chief

X Aeliana; Bonita Queen; Copacobana; Gamp; Getafix; High Octane; Hooligan Tommy; Misty Legend; Pleasure Artist; Sir Artie; State Of Affairs; The Enchanter; Union Army; Unlimited; Winchester; Wings Of Desire; Written Gold

HAWKESBURY July 8

Inside Grass; Heavy 10

16 Heats – 1 x 1200m (Open); 4 x 980m (1 Open; 1 Maiden; 2 2YO); 11 x 800m (2 Open; 7 2YO; 2 Maiden)

There's still time for some late 2YO winners to emerge before the end of the season.

HE'S IN LIKE FLYNN (Blake Ryan): Another unraced fast runner from this local stable that will capture the attention of agents. Placed in two earlier trials, this Showtime gelding turned on the jets in his first trial for 17 weeks to run away with his 800m heat by more than five lengths in the fastest time of the session (47.31; 33.13).

PRINCE OF SORTS (Allan Kehoe): Impressive first trial for another youngster by the boom sire Tassort. Excellent work over the last 200m of his 800m heat, running good time (47.97; 33.84) to cruise home by almost four lengths.

Unraced MAJORCA SUNSET, a 2YO gelding by The Autumn Sun, showed nice improvement off two earlier trial placings to easily beat three rivals in the fastest of the four heats over 980m 60.13; 34.78). He looks ready to go to the races.

NOTED TRIALS
