The David Pfieffer-trained Crazy Train (2 f ex Crazy Idea by Henny Hughes) got her career off to the perfect start when she landed the TLE Electrical Maiden Handicap (900m) at Newcastle on Saturday and in the process became the fourth first-crop winner for Kingstar Farm-based stallion Bull Point (Fastnet Rock).

The two-year-old filly scooted clear to beat three-year-old Apex (Soldier Hollow) by half a length with another nose back to Light And Dark (Rubick) in third.

Purchased by Darby Racing for a mere $3,000 at the 2019 Inglis Scone Yearling Sale from the draft of Cressfield, the filly is out of unraced Henny Hughes (Hennessy) mare Crazy Idea.

Further back the filly's fourth dam is dual Group 2 winner Delightful Belle (Balmerino), the dam of 2000 Golden Slipper Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Belle Du Jour (Dehere), while she is also the grandam of Group 1 winner Perfectly Ready (More Than Ready) and Listed winner Duccio (More Than Ready).

Crazy Train joins Fearless Vision, Very Sharp, Yourpoint and Encountabull, who is also placed at Listed level, as the stallion's other stakes winners and he will stand for a fee of $8,800 (inc GST).
