Sire of Artorius to be first stallion to stand at Victorian farm under new ownership 

Flying Artie (Artie Schiller) will relocate from Newgate Farm in the Hunter Valley to Blue Gum Farm in Victoria this year. 

Blue Gum Farm was purchased by Trilogy Racing's Jason and Mel Stenning and Sean and Cathy Dingwall late last year and the 2016 Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) winner Flying Artie will be the first stallion to stand at the property under the new ownership. 

Sire of 2021 Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) winner Artorius, who landed Saturday's Group 1 Canterbury Stakes (1300m) as well as the Group 1 placed mare Asfoora, Flying Artie will remain under the ownership of existing shareholders. 

"Part of our growth strategy for the farm was to get back to stallions and to create the whole enterprise as we want to run it and this opportunity is through our great partnership with Newgate," Sean Dingwall said. 

"The fact that Henry has got the confidence in us to send the horse down is a tribute to the farm and the overall feeling that the farm has in the industry nationally."

Flying Artie's 2023 fee will be announced at a later date. He covered 40 mares last year when his fee was set at $22,000 (inc GST).
