Group 1 winner sells for $1.35m.

Connections of Sheeza Belter are celebrating one last big payday from their former star filly, who on Thursday sold for seven figures as part of a standalone Magic Millions virtual sale.

The 2022 J J Atkins winner got to $1.35 million before being knocked down to prolific broodmare accumulator Yulong, which was operating under the Highway Farm banner.

It was a dream come true for the team who raced the daughter of Gold Standard, who was a $50,000 yearling.

"It is a very nerve-wracking experience selling a horse around that level," Sheeza Belter's original buyer and part-owner Justin Warwick, who was tuned into the auction from Western Australia, said.

"I'm relieved that the process has been a success and I'm very happy to see where she is going and the opportunity she will have."

Sheeza Belter started her career in Perth under Luke Fernie, winning the Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic at Pinjarra, before heading east to join Peter and Paul Snowden.

The start before the J J Atkins she won the Group 2 BTC Sires' Produce Stakes and as a three-year-old she added another Group 2 – this year's Hot Danish Stakes.

"She has taken all of us on such a wonderful ride," Warwick said. "When you buy a horse you dream of what might be to come.

"This girl delivered on that dream. She gave us so much joy on the racetrack and we are excited about her prospects for the next stage of her journey.

"One chapter of the book has now finished but the best thing is, she will get looked after so well and be given a chance with the best stallions in the world.

"Breeding is not what us part owners do, but we can now sit back and hope that her offspring go well and we can say we played a part in that."

The Magic Millions focus switches to the upcoming Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale which will be held on October 24.
