Victorian farm welcomes back Troy Stephens to key role
Yulong has welcomed Troy Stephens back into the fold, appointing him to the role of racing manager.
Stephens had previously worked at Yulong, where he played a key role in helping establishing the ever-growing farms foundation stallions, including Tagaloa, Lucky Vega and Alabama Express before establishing his own spelling and pre-training business, Palm Equine.
"It's an organisation I know very well, having worked there for two years, and I'm also extremely passionate about Yulong," Stephens said.
"The growth Yulong has had globally in a relatively short period is already amazing, and it's great to get back on the team and do my part. I eagerly await being on the Gold Coast in January."
Stephens will oversee the day-to-day running of Yulong's racing and bloodstock portfolio.
"We look forward to welcoming Troy back to the Yulong team," Yulong's new general manager Vin Cox said.
"He is well-known and will add to what is an exciting and busy future for the farm."
It will be a hectic first few months for Stephens with Yulong to have more than 200 yearlings destined for the sale ring in 2024, including 43 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale and a record draft of 77 at the Inglis Premier Sale.
