The half-sister to Fully Lit topped the final session at this year’s Inglis Classic Sale

The half-sister to Fully Lit lived up to her billing as one of the headline lots of the final day of this year's Inglis Classic Sale, but still exceeded the expectations of vendors Glenlogan Park when she sold for a session-high figure.

The daughter of North Pacific and Sunlit got to $420,000 before being knocked down to a syndicate comprising the R Unicorn Stable, Rising Sun Syndicate and Satomi Oka Bloodstock.

The filly's purchase price was $360,000 more than last Saturday's $2 million Inglis Millennium winner Fully Lit sold for at the corresponding sale last year and brought a big smile to the face of Glenlogan Park's Steve Morley.

"That was in the 'hope' bracket, $400,000-plus," he said.

"It's just a great result for the farm and justification that we're doing the little things right.

"We're mating them right, we're presenting them right and we're getting the right results, so we're thrilled all round."

The North Pacific filly is the third foal from Sunlit, a daughter of Snitzel, whose first foal was Group 3 B J McLachlan Stakes winner The Novelist, who was followed by Fully Lit, a son of Hellbent.

"She's doing a great job Sunlit, that's three from three that are good sorts," Morley said.

"The first two are Stakes winners and from what I see on that filly, there's no reason to think she won't be three from three."

The half-sister to Fully Lit was the highest-priced lot of Day 3, equalling the price paid for the Justify-Islay Inlet filly who was sold on Day 2.

They were the equal second-highest lots of the sale that was topped by the filly by Too Darn Hot that is a half-sister to In Her Time who sold for $600,000.

Other high-achievers on Day 3 included a colt by Written Tycoon out of the Lonhro mare Sent From Above, the dam of Shangri La Express, who sold to a syndicate headed up by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott for $360,000.

B K Racing & Breeding paid $320,000 for a filly by Hellbent out of Rose Of Savannah, who is out of a half-sister to Savabeel.

The 590 lots sold across the three days of this year's Classic Sale grossed $55,312,000 at a clearance rate of 82 percent with an average of $93,749 and $70,000 median.
