Tatt’s Tiara winner to be offered at Chairman’s Sale.
Startantes is the latest high-achieving mare to be added to this year's Chairman's Sale, with the Group 1 winner to be offered at the elite gathering in May.
A week after Melbourne Cup placegetter High Emocean was confirmed for the sale, Inglis announced the five-year-old daughter of Star Turn had been added to the catalogue.
Startantes has won six of 29 starts for Robert Heathcote, the biggest of which was the 2022 Group 1 Tatt's Tiara (1400m), while she also finished second in the Surround Stakes (1400m) and third in the Flight Stakes (1600m) at Group 1 level.
She will become just the fourth Australian Group 1-winning filly at 1400 metres or below to be offered at public auction in the past 10 years.
"Startantes will be one of the most unique breeding prospects offered in Australia this year,'' Heathcote said.
"These Group 1-winning mares have proven year in, year out to be exquisite prospects who keep producing valuable foals and Startantes ticks all the boxes that would suggest she will be a quality producer.
"She's the perfect size, she's a magnificent physical, has an amazing temperament and is proven against the best fillies and mares of recent seasons."
Startantes, who is in work and finished second to Uncommon James in a 1000m Doomben trial on Tuesday, will be offered alongside her stablemate Extremist, a daughter of Extreme Choice who won the Listed Keith Noud Stakes (1200m) in November last year.
Startantes and Extremist will be offered as part of the Newgate Farm draft at the sale that will take place at the Riverside Sales Complex in Sydney on May 9.
Along with Startantes and High Emocean, dual Group 1 winner She's Extreme is a headline act of the sale along with multiple Group 1 placegetter Kimochi and Group 2-winning Frankel mare Steinem.
