Winx's first foal, a filly by Pierro, has rightly commanded most of the attention ahead of this weekend's Inglis Easter Yearling Sale in Sydney.

Rarely has a mare as well-performed as the 25-time Group 1 winner had one of their sons or daughters go through a sale ring.

In the history of Australian racing, only one mare – Black Caviar – has a greater peak Timeform rating than the 134 Winx ran when winning the 2017 George Ryder Stakes and 2018 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

But she's not the only high-rating Group 1 winner who will have a yearling offered across Sunday and Monday with a 128 performer among the other star mares in the catalogue.

128 – MORE JOYOUS: Along with Black Caviar and Winx, the only other mares with a greater rating than More Joyous are 129-raters Makybe Diva and Sunline. More Joyous ran 128 when she won the Doncaster Mile and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, while she also owns a 127 run and one at 126. The So You Think colt that Yulong will offer was bought for $300,000 at last year's Strawberry Hill dispersal sale and will become only the second product of More Joyous to be offered as a yearling, behind the colt who raced as Joyous Legend, who sold for $800,000 at Easter in 2020.

122 – FIRST SEAL: Winx's arch-rival as a 3YO, which was when the daughter of Fastnet Rock ran her career peak. That was in the Flight Stakes, when she defeated Winx by three lengths. The filly The Chase will offer is First Seal's fourth foal and a sister to Naval Seal, a son of Snitzel who sold for $1.8m at Easter four years ago.

121 – ENGLISH: The best of her two G1 wins was the All Aged Stakes (120), but her career peak came when second to Chautauqua in the 2017 T J Smith Stakes. Early on Day 1, Newhaven Park will offer a colt by Snitzel, the second foal from the daughter of Redoute's Choice who had a colt by I Am Invincible sell for $1.55m at Easter last year.

121 – LUCIA VALENTINA: Kiwi farm Elsdon Park is offering a filly by I Am Invincible, the fourth living foal from the daughter of Savabeel who posted her top Timeform number in her Queen Elizabeth Stakes win.

121 – SNITZERLAND: A Black Caviar Lightning winner in 119, the daughter of Snitzel posted her peak number in the G2 Challenge Stakes in 2013. Vinery Stud will offer her daughter of I Am Invincible, a sister to Snitzerland's highest-priced yearling to date, the colt who was a $950,000 buy at Easter in 2021.

120 – PRINCESS COUP: Well-performed either side of the Tasman, the daughter of Encosta De Lago recorded her highest figure in her G1 Kelt Capital Stakes win. The Snitzel colt Evergeen Stud Farm is preparing for sale this year is her 12th foal, nine of whom have raced for eight winners, the best of which to date is Argentia, a dual G3-winning daughter of Frankel.

119 – SUNLIGHT: One of the best fillies Australia has seen in recent years, Sunlight ran 119 in two of her G1 wins – the Newmarket Handicap and William Reid Stakes – and in her G2 Gilgai Stakes win. The Zoustar mare's first foal, a colt by Justify, sold for $1.4m on the Gold Coast last year, and Coolmore will this year offer a colt by Wootton Bassett.

119 – UNFORGOTTEN: The daughter of Fastnet Rock won an ATC Oaks in 119 and has a daughter of Lucky Vega who is part of the Yulong draft. This will be her second foal to be offered with the first, a filly by I Am Invincible, having changed hands for $650,000 at Premier last year.

Three Group 1 winners with a peak rating of 118 will have yearlings offered, Rostova, Viddora and Melody Belle, the latter a 14-time winner at the highest level who will have her first foal, a filly by Written Tycoon, offered midway through Day 1.

Other Group 1 winners with yearlings to be sold include 117-raters Carry On Alice, Daysee Doom and Hiyaam, Response (116), the dam of Golden Slipper winner Estijaab, Silent Sedition (116), Booker (115) and Pippie (115).
