Marabi has joined the long list of raced fillies and mares who have sold for big money in Australia this year after dominating Tuesday's Magic Millions Virtual Sale.

The Oakleigh Plate winner got to $2.4 million before being knocked down to Arrowfield Stud.

The daughter of I Am Invincible, who also won a Group 2 Australia Stakes and was one of the highest-rating mares of her generation with a peak Timeform rating of 118, was sold in-foal to star stallion Zoustar.

In addition to her own racetrack deeds, Marabi – who is out of the Group 2 winner Nakaaya– is a half-sister to Group 1 VRC Oaks winner Aristia.

Marabi's sale was the second outstanding digital result for Magic Millions in the past month, having sold Group 1 winner Espiona for $4.15m in a July virtual offering.

Earlier in the year, Magic Millions facilitated a virtual sale of 10-time Group 1 winner Imperatriz at its National Broodmare Sale with the daughter of I Am Invincible setting a new Australasian benchmark for a mare when sold for $6.6m.

Marabi was the only seven-figure lot of the sale but not the only mare to achieve good results for connections.

VRC Oaks placegetter Queen Air (Toronado) was bought by Gollan Racing for $350,000, while Stormy Revolution (Russian Revolution) and Extreme Threat (Extreme Choice) both sold for $220,000.
