Son of Galileo responsible for four of the top lots
Four foals by Juddmonte Farms-based Frankel (Galileo) topped the Goffs November Foal Sale on Sunday, with the quartet making an aggregate of €1,680,000 and three of the four all made €440,000.
The first of the three to realise that figure was a colt by who was purchased by Paca Paca Farm from the The Castlebridge Consignment draft.
Catalogued as Lot 663A, the colt is out of Group 3 scorer Lily’s Angel (Dark Angel), who is herself a half-sister to Listed scorer Zurigha (Cape Cross).
Further afield this is the same family as Group 3 scorer Bellarida (Bellypha) - the dam of fellow Group 3 scorer In Clover (Inchinor), who in turn in produced Group 1-winning trio Call The Wind (Frankel), With You (Dansili) and We Are (Dansili).
The next lot by the stallion to realise €440,000 was a filly out of Marvada (Elusive City), making her a half-sister to Group 2 winner Terebellum (Sea The Stars) and she was purchased by Blackstar Bloodstock.
Catalogued as Lot 673 and offered by Swordlestown Little, the filly is from the family of stakes-placed Paint In Green (Invincible Spirit) - the dam of Italian Group 1 winner Sound Of Freedom (Duke Of Marmalade) and Listed-placed Collateral Risk (Duke Of Marmalade) and Drive To Hell (Manduro).
Further afield this is the same Group 1 winner Charge D'Affaires (Kendor).
The third lot by the stallion to make that figure was the Swordlestown Little-consigned colt out of Nisriyna (Intikhab), who was purchased by Juddmonte Farms.
Catalogued as Lot 684, the colt is a half-brother Group 3 winner Dinozzo (Lilbourne Lad) and Listed-placed Spring Loaded (Zebedee).
Nisriyna herself is a half-sister to dual Group 3 winner Narniyn (Dubawi) and Listed scorer Temerity (Intense Focus).
At the close of trade, Goffs reported that 135 foals sold for an aggregate of €10,374,000 at an average of €76,844, while the median sat at €52,000.
