Vivious Harry breaks his maiden at Chantilly
Vivious Harry (2 c ex Umneeyatee by Encosta De Lago) broke his maiden on Tuesday at Chantilly to provide Darley shutter Harry Angel (Dark Angel) with his first winner.
Trained by Mauricio Delcher Sanchez, Vivious Harry quickened well in the closing stages and went on to scored by a length and a half on debut over 1000 metres. In winning, he also provided his Australian-bred dam with her first winner. From the family of Miesque, Umneeyatee raced in South Africa for her breeder Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum and was then offered at the 2019 Tattersalls December Mare Sale where she was purchased for 11,000gns.
Harry Angel returns to Darley's Kelvinside farm this spring where his fee is advertised at $16,500 (inc GST). His first Australian-bred crop are yearlings. He stood for a fee of £12,500 at Darley's Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket this year.
