Rich Hill Stud announce son of Choisir to head their roster at $70,000
Rich Hill Stud's Proisir (Choisir) has been subject to a large fee increase and will stand for NZ$70,000 (plus GST) this year, up from NZ$17,500 (plus GST) in 2022.
Proisir has enjoyed a very successful season on the racetrack with five individual Group 1 winners winning eight Group 1 races between them. He sits at the head of the sires table in New Zealand by earnings of $3,713,820, which are almost $1.4 million clear of nearest rival Savabeel (Zabeel).
"Proisir is a champion sire in waiting who has proven himself to be a massive upgrader. We will be limiting him to 150 mares and with numerous mares already confirmed from both sides of the Tasman all indications are that his book will fill very quickly," Rich Hill Managing Director John Thompson said.
Satono Aladdin (Deep Impact) is also enjoying a successful season and leads the New Zealand second season and two-year-old sires tables by wide margins.
"Satono Aladdin is quickly proving to be one of the most exciting young sire prospects we have had in New Zealand in recent years," Thompson said.
"He stamps his stock with his own quality and athleticism and with the unique ability to sire a precocious two-year-old as well as a classic three-year-old.
"Rich Hill are delighted that our long and successful relationship with Shadai Stallion Station and the Yoshida family enables us to shuttle a stallion with his sire credentials."
Shocking (Street Cry) and Vadamos (Monsun) will both stand for NZ$12,500 (plus GST) and the roster is completed by Ace High (High Chaparral) who will stand for NZ$10,000 (plus GST).
