Ashford Stud announced fees for the 16 stallions that they will stand in 2023, with Munnings (Speightstown) to stand for a career high fee of US$100,000, up from US$85,000 last year.
The sire of three-time Grade 1 winner Jack Christopher, Munnings stood his first season at stud for just US$12,500 and has enjoyed significant fee increases since his first runners with his first crop including Grade 1 winners I'm A Chatterbox and El Deal.
The roster is headed by Uncle Mo who will stand for US$150,000 in 2023, down slightly from US$160,000 this year. Justify (Scat Daddy) will stand for an unchanged fee of US$100,000 while American Pharoah (Pioneerof The Nile) has had his fee reduced from US$80,000 in 2022 to US$60,000.
Three new stallions will stand at Ashford Stud next year with last year's champion two-year-old colt Corniche (Quality Road) being introduced at a fee of US$30,000 and Grade 1 Preakness Stakes (9f) winner Early Voting (Gun Runner) standing for US$25,000.
