Grade 1 winner will have his final start in the Breeders' Cup next month
Golden Pal (Uncle Mo) will look to defend his Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (5f) crown next month before retiring to Coolmore's Ashford Stud in Kentucky. A fee for Golden Pal's first season at stud next year is yet to be announced.
Trained by Wesley Ward, Golan Pal has won eight of his 12 career starts and the son of Uncle Mo is undefeated in the US and will be bidding to win his third consecutive Breeders' Cup victory having captured the Grade 2 Juvenile Turf Sprint (5.5f) in 2020 and the Turf Sprint last year.
"We've followed Golden Pal's career closely and he's a very welcome addition to our roster," said Ashford's Dermot Ryan.
"He has speed to burn and like many of those by Uncle Mo, he's a very good-looking horse. I don't think any horse has come close to beating him here in the US since he broke his maiden in the Skidmore Stakes and Uncle Mo has made a very good start as a sire of sires so it's all good news!"
