Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

1.  Who is (are) your pick of the colts and why? 
Lot 25, the Teofilo (Galileo) colt. He is a lovely balanced colt with size and strength, has a great head and moves well. He has a nice international pedigree behind him and is the first foal of the dam. From only two foals to race with the Teofilo/Street Cry (Macheveillian) cross one is a stakes winner. Also, Lot 37, the Zoustar (Northern Meteor) colt. This colt looks a lot like his father and will attract plenty of admirers with his strength and presence. The dam's two-year-old, Hot Relation (Sizzling) is now stakes placed.

2. Who is (are) your pick of the fillies and why?
Lot 28 the American Pharoah (Pioneerof the Nile) filly. She is a sharp looking filly and her dam is by Exceed And Excel (Danehill) and was twice a winner at two. Lot 242 by Preferment (Zabeel). She is a real staying type of filly with a great girth and nice relaxed action and the first foal of a Galileo (Sadler's Wells) mare. If you are looking for a filly for the classics, this is a filly you should inspect.

3. Who do you feel has improved most over the prep?
Lot 521 Manhattan Rain (Encosta De Lago) - Xanthippe (Street Cry) colt. This colt has developed into a very attractive type. He takes everything in his stride and will be an easy horse for trainers to have in their stable.

4. How do you feel the 2020 sale will measure compared to previous renewals? 
The Melbourne sale has been well supported this year with some vendors returning after missing a year or two. It is likely to be a similar market to last year and the top yearlings will exceed vendors expectations.

5.  What is the thing you like most about the Premier sale? 
Each year the Premier Sale produces good racehorse that have sold through the sale ring there. Yearlings can be purchased at a reasonable price and you get value for money.
