The catalogue for the two day Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale is now online.
The sale will be held on April 22 and 23.
Current graduates include classy juvenile She's Got Gears, a Listed winner in Melbourne Cup week who most recently ran second in the Blue Diamond Prelude ahead of a start in Saturday's G1 $1M Blue Diamond Stakes. The filly was a $45,000 purchase for trainer Robbie Laing.
Highly promising and unbeaten three-year-old Our Baby Bonus is another flagbearer. The well named son of Dash For Cash from the Dance Floor mare Mother To Be was a $42,500 purchase for trainer Mick Price. He made it three from three when winning at Moonee Valley last month and better races await.
The Autumn Sale is big on value, as Group 1 winners like Pompeii Ruler, Grand Journey and Lazer Sharp attest. Each could have been purchased for under $20,000.
“This sale consistently gets racetrack results that outperform the corresponding purchase prices and buyers now recognise this fact,” Inglis Director Peter Heagney said.
"Few sales in the world could boast improvement on 2008 figures last year, but the Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale can lay claim to that rare feat, with the average, aggregate and clearance rate all experiencing significant growth.
"The increase in the size of the catalogue by an additional 130 horses this year reflects the confidence vendors have in this sale and we appreciate the support they have given us once again."
All graduates are eligible to be nominated for the $2.6M Inglis Race Series , which includes the $100,000 Inglis Autumn Plate.
The 2010 Inglis Autumn Plate for graduates of last year's sale is being run at Seymour on Tuesday 20th April - two days prior to the sale.
