Friday’s Inglis March Thoroughbred Sale at Oaklands has an impressive record of producing quality racetrack performers and vendors have once again recognised this by entering 88 supplementary lots in recent week
A total of 264 lots that will walk through the ring Inglis’ Oaklands complex.
Notable graduates of this sale include Crafty Cruiser, sold as a yearling he continues to produce results including a win in the Listed Roy Higgins Quality Stakes at Flemington earlier this month.The 148 racehorses on offer include nine outstanding lots from the stable of Nick and Lloyd Williams, selling under the Hudson Conway Racing banner.
Previous Inglis graduates that have been sold from the Williams’ draft include last start G2 Adelaide Cup Tanby, and Marksmanship which has gone on to win or place in seven of his 10 starts since his purchase by trainer Ciaron Maher.Their 2015 draft is headlined by the impeccably bred Listed winner Wales.
By Redoute’s Choice out of Valkyrie Diva, a G3 winning half-sister to Maykbe Diva, he will be offered as Lot 139. Other notable lots from the Williams’ draft include multiple stakes placed gelding Practiced (Lot 140) and International Listed winner Thought Worthy (Lot 143) which ran fourth in the G1 Epsom Derby.Darley will offer 27 nicely-bred lots headlined by G2 Tulloch Stakes winner Gallatin (Lot 101), and G3 winner Champollion (Lot 97).
Lot 100 is promising three-year-old Lonhro gelding Exert which has two wins and two placings from his four career starts.Over 70 broodmares and broodmare prospects will be offered including the Mooney Valley winning daughter of Fastnet Rock Love The Rock (Lot 207), half-sister to the Group 1 performer Stanica.
Emirates Park will offer mares in foal to their resident sires Harbour Watch, Mulaazem and Al Maher whilst Woodside Park’s draft includes mares in foal to their resident stallions Written Tycoon and Foreplay.Also on offer are mares in foal or with foals at foot by Starspangledbanner, Stryker, Statue Of Liberty and Master Of Design.
