Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Wednesday’s meeting at Doomben.

Collar's Up (Race 1) has been backed at the expense of the two favourites and is now the third pick in the market at $3.90, more than a point shorter than his opening price. He ran a career best race when placed at Gold Coast and the market move suggests he can take another step forward today.

Visona Playboy (Race 2) looks ready to break through after placing in both runs this campaign, the latest when beaten less than a length at Eagle Farm. He should be ready to peak third up and has shortened close to a full point into clear favouritism at $2.35.

Dame Van Winkle (Race 4) opened as favourite but has only shortened since to $2.45, which is about 60 cents shorter than her initial quote. She has been consistent running top three in all three of her starts this campaign a Doomben maiden win and a close second at Eagle Farm last time.

Sharpe Hussler (Race 7) is on the verge of red figures at $2.10 with good support shortening his opening quote by 50 cents. He caught the eye running on well for a close second when resuming and should be suited by the extra 150m with a run under his belt.
