Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Tuesday’s meeting at Dubbo.

Lunar Duchess (Race 1) opened at a short price but that hasn’t stopped punters throwing their support behind her and she is now into an odds on quote at $1.70, 30 cents shorter than her opening price. The Murtajill mare is one of many on debut in this race but impressed when winning a barrier trial by 3L on a heavy 10 surface recently.

Well Achieved (Race 2) has taken over at the head of the market at $3.10 having shortened about a half point in early betting. The James Cummings mare raced just once last campaign when second at Wyong and should be fit for her return after two trials including a Randwick win.
