Wildebeast will look to build on his last start win when he lines up in open company over 1100m at Rockhampton today.
The Darryl Gardiner-trained runner followed up some very consistent form with a strong win over 1050m at this course last start and he looks well placed again off that effort.
Zoe White, who is yet to miss the placings from three rides remains on board and with the 2kg claim Wildebeast gets in very well once again today.
The six-year-old gelding possesses a terrific career record and if he runs up to his recent form he will take plenty of beating in this field.
Say I Won’t comes out of the same race when returning from a spell last start, running fourth on that occasion after leading from the inside draw.
Career record at the course and over this trip is very good and his previous form in tougher company was solid enough for a race like this.
Expect Say I Won’t to not be far away in the run from barrier 7 today and with winning jockey Scott Sheargold remaining on board he looms as the main danger.
Princely has been fairly consistent in both runs this campaign and was not far away when third behind Wildebeast last time out.
Drawn to get a much better run today from barrier 3 and he has now placed in four of seven previous third up efforts.
Best form has come at this course and over this trip and on the back of a good run last start the extra trip will suit and he is sure to be somewhere in the finish again.
Isa Tala was well accounted for when returning in tougher company at Eagle Farm last start and she will appreciate the drop in grade today.
Generally runs pretty well when second up and right down in the weights with the apprentice claim from the good draw should be competitive in this company.
Likely to improve off her returning effort and is not to be discounted against these.
