Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Wednesday’s meeting at Sandown.

Emphatically (Race 3) has taken over as favourite at $3.10 after firming a half point since markets first opened. The filly has always raced in high class races but has taken a step back this campaign, winning her maiden at Swan Hill last time by almost 5L and the punters are banking on another win today.

She's Got Speed (Race 5) has been the best-backed today and is now challenging for favouritism at $4.60 after shortening a point and a half. The mare had good form in longer city races last campaign and should be fitter second up after working home well for a fourth when resuming at Geelong.

Champagne Ready (Race 6) is a warm favourite at $3.20, half a point shorter than her initial quote. The mare has consistent form lines, winning her maiden at this course and distance and placing in three of four runs in town since then.

Loveitt (Race 7) opened at double figure odds but has more than halved that price to $4.80 with TopBetta fixed odds. She enjoys a big drop in grade from a Group 3 run last start, is a winner at this course and was a closing third in Adelaide two runs back.
