Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Tuesday’s meeting at Kembla Grange.

Pomelo (Race 3) opened on the third line of betting but has taken over at the head of the market at $3.40 after firming a point and a half. The mare placed at all four career runs last preparation, all coming at this course including a 1400m win, with the money suggesting she can sprint well fresh.

La Chatte (Race 6) is now into the red at $1.85 having shortened a half point since betting commenced. The Godolphin filly was beaten as odds on favourite when second on debut but was sent straight to the paddock afterwards and should be ready to go after two recent trials.
