Craig Williams, aboard Fuhryk, had her away well from barrier six and passing the 1000m settled her one out just in behind the pace in sixth. She drifted a shade before straightening but moved out for a better look at the leaders. A lovely split presented itself, five wide, inside the 300m and Williams let her stride up to the leaders, taking over inside the 200m and drawing clear to win comfortably, her fourth win in six starts. Oregon's Day was midfield early but drifted, then made a sharp move very wide turning in and ran on strongly for second but no match for the winner. Savanna Amour was one out fourth near the last corner, crossed to the rail at the 200m and held on well to the line for third. Inspired Estelle led briefly at the 200m and barely held on for fourth at the finish.
