Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Tuesday’s meeting at Tamworth.
Big Ben The Clock (Race 4) has taken over as favourite at $3.10 after firming in the best part of two points this morning. The three-year-old steps up to the mile today and is expected to be a big improver third up.
Kyrgios (Race 5) has tightened his grip on favouritism at $2.25, about 60 cents shorter than his initial price. He is racing well winning two in a row before a brave third in a higher-graded race last start and has been kept up to the mark with a trial placing since.Mr Spin (Race 6) could be worth an each way ticket at $5 having firmed in four points in early betting. He wasn’t disgraced when midfield at the provincials last start and was a Coffs Harbour winner before that.
Fickle Folly (Race 7) has been backed into the red at $1.95, which is 65 cents shorter than her opening price. The filly was far from disgraced in a stakes race last start and was G3 placed during the Sydney autumn so looks well placed at country level.Azcannyaz (Race 8) has moved to the top line of betting at $3.80, more than a point shorter than his initial quote. He was just nosed out when resuming and has a consistent record at this distance.
