A youngie but a goodie seems sure to be odds on tonight at Kranji even though up in grade and drawn the outside stall bar one.

Super Easy since arriving from New Zealand has won on the poly at Class Four over 1000m then Class Three over 1100m with ridiculous ease and clocked decent time too, so has more gears to go too yet.

The three-year-old colt takes on Class Two tonight over 1200m in the S$95K feature sprint, with the fifth event on the card being held on the short course D track of the turf circuit.

Michael Freedman trains the colt for the aptly named Joy N Happiness Stable, who have not stopped smiling for several weeks now in Singapore such has been their success.

Tonight from stall seven in a field of eight against some older and very fast turf sprinters, we will find out just how good Super Easy really is.

He is yet to race on the strathayr turf at Kranji and will be tackling 1200m for the first time since coming to Singapore, so has several barriers to break through this evening.

There is a legitimate argument for this son of Darci Brahma to be unbeaten in New Zealand, so he could incredibly with an ounce of barrier draw luck be a perfect five-from-five.

His half-brother Tiger Tees is also currently in fine form with five wins from six starts, while older half brother Our Lukas is already a twelve-time winner from 1200m up to 2150m.

Joao Moreira knows a money-machine when he sees or rides one, as he is one himself to local bettors who back him with unwavering belief and are cashed up quite nicely too.

He has been aboard Super Easy for both Kranji wins and has not had an easier way to collect a riding fee twice so far in Singapore though to be fair he has not ridden Rocket Man before/yet!

Super Easy is on the minimum of 50kg tonight but Moreira will probably not be able to get down that low and so the hotpot will be a tad overweight but I am sure that will not be a reason for defeat should the unthinkable happen.

There are some swift beginners and serious sprinters trying to upstage Super Easy and do not expect any favours to be given to the new kid on the block.

Mr Raffles has 57.5kg to carry, which is not beyond the big sprinter and especially since he will jump from the ace and regular rider Vlad Duric sits atop.

Duric gets the best out of Mr Raffles no question, with all four wins in Singapore under his strong horsemanship and thunderous whip.

He clearly has come up well for this preparation, as shown by a fresh up second on the poly over 1000m and it is worth noting the Steve Burridge trained sprinter is a dual winner second up and all his wins have come on the turf.

Mr Raffles will be more than a lottery to beat on this D course at Kranji, as he can lead and kick clear or take a sit close and come up trumps at the post.

The current premiership leading trainer Pat Shaw has three of the eight runners and two of them have a chance for varying reasons from turf tractability to suitability in a race such as this to what stable riders went here rather than there.

Barend Vorster has first choice of Shaw runners and will ride Dittatore, after riding stablemate Amadeus Mozart in a recent trial that this runner competed in too.

Olivier Placais gets the second pick these days and will ride Amadeus Mozart, after riding Dittatore in the recent trial both ran in.

Dittatore will be third up tonight after coming back from a long enforced break from racing and he has gone two good races on the poly too my eye.

The turf may now suit him now an older sprinter building up again after injury and Vorster does not usually choose wrong too often.

Amadeus Mozart is a marvel of an old sprinter and the eight-year-old is back too his more beloved turf here and can race on the pace or come with a closing crescendo.

He is not a big horse so the 57kg tonight does worry me a tad and more so than the gate six but never doubt a proven warrior.

I have doubts that My Son can win at Class Two for Shaw and Williams even with a 3kg claim for the same reason for Laurie Laxon plus he is not as effective on the turf.

Moonlite Shower is a four-year-old and from gate three could give them all something to chase or run down plus he could also keep the odds on Super Easy wide and/or working.

He is unbeaten fresh up or freshened up and has had two trials to prepare for this, with John Powell who is one out of two atop the rider.

The gelding has won and placed on the turf but it came at his first two starts in maiden then Novice company so what he meets this evening is a meteoric rise in field strength.

The only other runner in the field is Squall Line, which is a better poly horse but his trainer Cliff Brown is flying at the moment and winning on the turf with poly performers and on the poly with turfies.

Squall Line could sit cold here and swamp if some motors are matched to the turn and that is probably his best-case scenario to win.

He goes super fresh and has trialled twice to prepare, with his latest outing a real eyecatcher for mine.

Danny Beasley will ride and he has been aboard the gelding three times before for a win and two seconds.

Enjoy the race where we will see if the big baby can beat the boys and men in the main event.
