The race, an RB72 over 2000m, is the anchor leg for most of the multiples at Stawell today and punters will be looking for a big run from peter Moody's runner who looks hard to beat.

The gelding, a son of Starcraft, recorded his first win over 1400m at Sale last autumn.

This time in though he has been progressively stepped up in journey and has show good promise as a middle distance galloper.

Fresh up over 1400m he was runner up at Pakenham after sitting off the pace then was runner up again, beaten in a photo, over 1524m at Mornington when strong to the line but just missing out behind Yule Luvit.

Up to a mile at Stony Creek, and strike a heavy track, he had the blinkers on and after going to the front cruised away with a 10 lengths “kill”.

Not surprisingly he appeared in town next over 2040m at Moonee Valley, his first try at the journey, where he drew awkwardly and drifted back to third last before making steady ground in the straight, finishing fourth and beaten four lengths behind Bel Sir.

Last start, over 2040m at Moonee Valley again, he drew the inside and settled closer to the speed but approaching the turn was shuffled back to seventh.

From there, he held his position to finish seventh, beaten five lengths behind Mr Consolidator.

Today Bold Trojan will meets easier company and although up in weight looks well placed here.

He will slide across from barrier five to sit just off the pace but shouldn't have any traffic problems.

The gelding rates best and should go close.

The Greg Baker trained Be Tolerant is racing well and should give a big sight again.

The mare was a second up winner over a mile in the country before finishing eighth when not having much luck at Moonee Valley.

She then returned there over 2040m and after sitting second throughout faded in the run home to finish a seven length fourth behind Umatain.

Last start though, over 2011m at Warrnambool, she sat fourth in the run but loomed up on the turn and ran on for a 1.5 length win over Unaffected Jeuney.

Although rising in class and weight the mare looks likely to take up the running and with winning form at the journey looks a leading chance again.

Lady Fyans hit the line hard over a mile fresh to finish fourth ohere on her home track, before tackling the same journey second up.

But taking up the running she was never headed leading throughout for a 1.3 length win.

Last start, to 1800m at Sandown Hillside, she was third in the small field in the run but faded badly in the straight to finish fifth.

The mare will find this grade much easier and returns to her home track today.

She is given another chance and should be at her top now after three runs back.

Rack It Up and Tinkler's Lane have minor claims in an open race.
