After notching up back - to - back Saturday trebles at Caulfield over the weekend, Boss will be hoping to notch up Taffetas second career win when she contests the 0 - 68 Handicap over 1112 metres.

Having broken her maiden status at Bendigo two starts back when resuming, the daughter of Elusive Quality should be right at her peak for this after finishing a narrow second at Geelong last start when only gunned down late over the concluding stages.

Unlike most of her opposition in the race, Taffetas is only lightly raced and appears to be the one of the few horses with upside heading into this.

From the good draw Boss should be able to settle her just off the speed, with likely leaders Hill of Faith and Amontillado ensuring a good tempo up front.

Dropping three-and-a-half kilograms from her last start, Taffetas should be able to show a good turn of foot and prove too strong for her rivals.

The John Salanitri trained Sort This Out has proven ultra - consistent this time in having placed at seven of his last ten starts and comes into this off a last start win at Warrnambool when proving too strong in the testing heavy conditions.

He was asked to carry 60kg on that occasion and would have to question how much that tough run took out of him.

Stately Dash drops back in grade for this after finishing a close second at Albury last start over 1000m. Possesses a solid record racing third up, however he is a twelve-year-old and it is hard to pin your hopes on him holding his form at this stage of his career.

Hill of Faith will press forward from the good gate and does appear well placed back in this weaker company. He races very well over this trip and with Brad Rawiller back in the saddle he must be kept safe.

In what shapes up as a pretty weak affair, Taffetas should prove to classy for these and is one to stick with as she continues to make the rise through the grades.

Good luck and happy punting.
