It's An Inside Job In The Get Out Stakes

3 minute read

A return to his home track coupled with a firmer surface sees the David Pfieffer trained Inside Job well placed to return to the winner's stall at Warwick Farm this afternoon.

Having proven a model of consistency this time in the son of Strategic finds himself very well placed having bumped into the likes of Sessions, Big Bonanza and Mishani Warrior at his past three starts.

While allotted the grandstand Pfeiffer's decision to engage apprentice rider Lester Grace should prove the difference as he now only carries 4kg above the minimum as opposed to seven.

More notably Grace's record with the Pfieffer stable is very impressive having ridden at a strike rate of 24% for this season a 13% increase on his overall strike rate.

With little to no speed engaged he should be able find the front quite easily from the favourable draw and with little pressure expected he should be able to roll along at his own leisure.

Although Inside Job has proven himself on rain affected going his best form has clearly been seen on good to dead tracks with his record reading 11 starts for five wins and one minor placing.

This factor should prove the key to this afternoon's affair as if he is able to return a peak rating he simply should prove too good for his rivals.

The Joseph Pride trained Sir Berus was a real eye catcher behind Relaxed and Happy last start and appears one of the main threats this afternoon.

While failing to really threaten the judge at his past three starts he has never been far away and the reengagement of Nash Rawiller appears a key factor.

Drawn poorly he is likely to drop out from the wide draw and be saved for one last crack at them.

Having let punters down time and time again this time in, the Hawkes team trained Animoso still can't be ignored as he comes into this race as the equal top rater following his third placing at Gosford last start.

Coming into this off a slight freshen up his trial leading up to this was solid and he too should improve back on firmer footing.

On paper he proved disappointing last start however the Clarry Conners trained Smart Patrol can be completely forgiven for his performance at Kembla after he was caught three wide with no cover throughout.

The step up back up in trip appears ideal and although he is proven to be better on rain affected going he is still expected to be right around the mark.

The Allan Denham trained Pleasurena and the Peter Snowden trained Pattamada appear to round out the multiples.

Good luck and happy punting.
