The Anthony Cummings-trained Vergara can build upon a solid first up effort when contesting the Cabac–Sunny–LTG – Bambach Maiden Plate (1100m) at Wyong on Thursday.

Vergara resumed in good order at the course last start when placing behind Checonsul over 1200m.
The daughter of Snippetson hit the lead soon upon straightening and looked the winner before she was collared by Checonsul 100m from home.
Blake Shinn partnered Vergara on that occasion and suggested her tendency to overrace might have been what cost the filly a maiden success.
Regardless, Vergara’s first up run yielded the three-year-old a Timeform figure of 79 which augers well for her chances of a second up success.
Form out of the race has proven useful with runner up High Grace and fourth placegetter Command More each since shedding their maiden tags at provincial level.
Vergara will have taken valuable fitness from the outing not to mention race experience.
Trainer Anthony Cummings has elected to remove the Blinkers which ideally will result in Vergara settling and not using up valuable energy reserves early on.
From barrier 5, jockey Peter Robl and Vergara should enjoy a cosy run in transit, settling in the second pair or perhaps just outside the lead.
Just running to her last start Timeform figure of 79 would see Vergara tough to hold out but suspect there is scope for further improvement second up.
Vergara’s last start Timeform rating comes in one pound below her master figure run to when fifth behind subsequent stakes winner Everage at Rosehill last February.
In comparison to her rivals, Vergara boasts the top 50 day Timeform figure by 16 pounds while she actually only boasts the equal third highest master figure.
Munfasla and the resuming Princess Henrietta have each run to a master figure of 83.
The Team Hawkes-trained Munfasla has been racing well below that mark this campaign however while Princess Henrietta’s master Timeform rating sits noticeably higher than her other two career outings.
Princess Henrietta does profile as the main danger though as she commences her second race preparation.
The penny looked to drop in her final run last campaign when a close fourth at Warwick Farm.
Given a trial in readiness for this, the Robert Pearse-trained filly should be capable of firing fresh.
Chris Waller’s debutant Imbosteria shapes as another leading player after winning his latest trial at Rosehill over 900m.
The Northern Meteor gelding comes in nicely with a 3kg claim courtesy of Taylor Marshall and any market moves must be respected.
Spihro might also be worth keeping safe.
The Guy Walter-trained gelding debuted at Gosford during the autumn where he finished a respectable sixth after a tough run in transit.
Overall though, Vergara profiles as the one to beat in Race 2 at Wyong on Thursday.
