A game performance behind Street Legal last start sees the Michael Freedman trained Super Junior well placed to break back into the winner's stall at Singapore on Friday night.

While never really coming into contention his performance last start still had plenty of merit and he should be better suited dropping back to this easier company.

A winner of four of his 14 career starts the son of Darci Brahma has shown good improvement this time in with his latest performance successful in recording a new career peak.

Having proven successful over six furlongs back in March this year it is clear Super Junior has shown good improvement when tried over further and really hit the line well last start over 2200m.

The drop back to 2000m will pose no concern on Friday as with almost three weeks between runs he should have the freshness back in his legs.

Rising seven kilograms from his latest effort does seem a hefty weight carrying task however the decision by Freedman to engage Harry Kasim does help to offset this and on best form he does rate clear on Timeform weight adjusted ratings.

Placing at five of his last 10 starts including two victories the handy four-year-old has drawn to receive a charmed run in transit as he should be able to settle down close to the speed from the inside draw.

The Mark Walker trained Irish Rebel is expected to take a forward position stepping up in trip with the Clifford Brown trained El Perigo also expected to roll forward.

Given they appear the only two likely leaders in the race expect Kasim to park Super Junior right on their heels as he won't want to be spotting the leaders to a large a start with the big weight if they in fact crawl in front.

In a race which does appear quite open on paper you really have to respect Super Junior's effort behind Street Legal last start because it does appear the strongest piece of form for this race.

If able to run up to that performance here and if not possibly improve further he should take plenty of beating as he does possess the ability to reel of a fast closing sectional and if rated nicely just off the speed he should prove very hard to go past in the straight.

The obvious threat in the race is the Hideyuki Takaoka trained Danger Zone who does appear a nice progressive galloper moving forward.

One of two three-year-olds engaged in the race he does appear very well placed at the weights as he is clearly open to further improvement following his solid performance behind Orakei Korako last start.

While he has only saluted the judge once in 10 career starts he has continued to improve throughout this preparation and does appear overdue for a win.

His performance last start had plenty of merit and while safely held over the concluding stages they did streak the rest.

The time out of the race was also very strong further emphasising the strength of the form moving forward into Friday night's affair.

On Timeform weight adjusted ratings there is only a few pounds between him and Super Junior and given he is a progressive type it is clear he can definitely trouble the Michael Freedman trained galloper.

From the inside draw expect Alan Munro to roll forward and settle closer to the speed than in his previous efforts as he should be able to travel nicely with virtually no weight on his back.

On the reasonably quick back up Danger Zone is expected to be right around the mark and be strong at the line late.

The Clifford Brown trained Meshmaker has been racing in good form of late and although forced to carry the big weight on Friday he has to be respected.

Having worked home strongly to defeat Super Junior last start the fact he meets him 4.5kg worse off at the weights is a major concern however he is proven to be racing in career best form of late and will no doubt make his presence felt.

From the good draw he shouldn't settle far off the leaders and should be working home solidly as he will have no concerns with the step up in trip.

Of the rest Brown's other galloper engaged in the race El Perigo was very good saluting over the mile last start and must be respected stepping up to ten furlongs.

Having placed at his only prior attempt at the trip he doesn't rate far off the leading chances and with Corey Brown engaged he must be kept safe.

Drawn favourably he is another galloper who should receive a charmed run in transit and be right there at the finish.
