Progressive sprinter Faaltless appears well placed to make a winning return in race six at Singapore this evening.

A victor of four of his seven career starts, Faaltless has displayed plenty of ability for the Shane Baertschiger stable.

Given time to work through the grades, the son of Faltaat boasts a second placing in the Group 2 Singapore 3YO Sprint [1200m].

Attempting to lead throughout, it was only star galloper War Affair who was able to wear down Faaltless in the feature event.

Failing to run out the seven furlongs prior to a break, Faaltless does appear better suited at 1100m.

He is unbeaten at this trip and has won three of four attempts on the polytrack, with his only defeat coming behind star sprinter Emperor Max.

Faaltless is unbeaten in two prior first up attempts and the Baertschiger stable is striking at 23 per cent since the beginning of August.

One of his biggest pushes for Faaltless' chances, is the rails draw.

Main dangers Sand Land and Peace No War, have both drawn outside Faaltless and will probably struggle to cross and lead him.

All three gallopers perform at the best when leading, which presents the conundrum for both Corey Brown (Sand Lane) and Joao Moreira (Peace No War).

Based on prior performances, Faaltless does possess the strongest average lead speeds.

Under these circumstances, if Faaltless was to be taken on for the lead, it would leave his two rivals vulnerable over the concluding stages.

Leading rider Danny Beasley continues his association with Faaltless having won his only prior attempt.

Beasley strikes at 15 per cent for the Baertschiger stable and currently sits in a tie for second in the Singapore jockey premiership.

Faaltless has trialled twice in the lead up, going to the line untested on both occasions.

On Timeform weight adjusted ratings, Faaltless's has a slight class edge over his rivals and he should prove very hard to beat.

The key riding switch of Joao Moreira aboard Peace No War, will see the Michael Freedman runner well supported.

Unable to defeat Sand Lane first up, Peace No War showed good improvement last start when saluting narrowly at this track over 1000m.

Sticking on strongly, the son of War Pass is expected to be right at his peak racing third up.

Although unable to salute over 1100m previously, Peace No War has won at six furlongs and should handle the step up in trip.

Moreira's main obstacle this evening does appear to be the wide draw.

From barrier eight, Peace No War will struggle to cross and lead Faaltless and will be forced to take a sit.

Given Sand Lane is also drawn on his inside, it could leave Peace No War caught three-wide in the early stages.

Nonetheless he has won when ridden off the speed and should prove hard to hold out.

In-form sprinter Sand Lane is the next in line, following another dominant display at this track last start.

Leading throughout over 1000m, Sand Lane's performance sees him well placed on Timeform weight adjusting ratings.

His main problem this evening, is the step up in trip.

In four attempts beyond 1000m, Sand Lane has failed to win, though he has placed on three occasions.

The time figures out of his last victory were strong, which suggests the step up in trip isn't beyond his capabilities.

Sand Lane recorded a new career peak last start and is heading in the right direction for the Cliff Brown stable.

If both Faaltless and Peace No War are unable to run up to their best, expect Sand Lane to take full advantage.

Of the rest the Mark Walker trained Golden Sand Steed appears the next best.

Working home solidly to finish fourth behind Sand Lane last start, the son of Pins is expected to improve further stepping up in trip.

In 10 attempts over this distance range, Golden Sand Steed has placed on eight occasions and is a must for the multiples.
