These Streets Are Prosperous

3 minute read

Talented five-year-old These Streets appears well placed to return to the winner’s stall this evening, when set to contest the seventh event at Kranji.

A victor of four of his 13 starts, the Cliff Brown trained galloper really caught the eye first up and while narrowly beaten, he can atone stepping up in trip.

Only just edged out by the Brian Dean trained Eagle Storm, These Streets returned a new career peak and appears set for a fruitful preparation.

These Streets has only missed the money twice, with his best form achieved over 1400m.

In two attempts second up in Singapore, the son of Elusive City remains unbeaten and has placed in six of eight attempts over this trip.

While unable to feature in the Group 2 EW Barker Trophy prior to a break, it indicates the high opinion Brown has of These Streets.

More notably, These Streets was only beaten just over four lengths on that occasion and the form through Magneto obviously reads well for this event.

Last preparation, These Streets continued to raise the bar with each performance and given his strong effort first up, we can expect the same this time in.

At his last start, These Streets averaged 11.11 second 200m sections for his last 800m ¬– closing fractions which place him in very good stead this evening.

Allotted the top weight, These Streets faces some fairly stiff opposition, however he is still well placed using Timeform weight adjusted ratings.

In-form jockey Corey Brown sticks aboard and has placed in two of three previous attempts.

On best form These Streets rates clear of his rivals and although drawn wide, he possesses enough tactical speed to overcome this hindrance and should prove very hard to beat.

Last start impressive winner Aspen shapes as one of the main dangers, following a very encouraging performance at this track and distance.

Formerly based in New Zealand, Aspen burst onto the scene with an impressive first up victory, before not beaten far at his next two starts.

Displaying sharp improvement at his latest effort, the Mark Walker trained galloper now appears capable of taking that next step.

Using Timeform weight adjusted ratings, Aspen is capable of defeating of These Streets, as he remains open to further improvement at just his eleventh start.

Group 1 placed at three (Levin Classic - 1600m), Aspen is yet to reach the heights of his prior form in New Zealand and remains under strong notice moving forward.

The Michael Freedman trained Fraajilistic has been frustrating to follow this time in, however he clearly cannot be taken lightly.

Finishing second at his last four starts, the son of Iffraaj has been a model of consistency, but has often found one better.

Beaten less than two lengths by the talented Kiwi Karma last start, Fraajilistic clearly boasts the right form lines for this event.

The latter was most impressive last weekend and if able to hold his form, Fraajilistic is well placed using Timeform weight adjusted ratings.

Craig Newitt links aboard for the first time and is likely to roll forward from the awkward draw.

The biggest plus for Fraajilistic this evening, is the step up to 1400m.

From four attempts over this trip, the four-year-old has won three and if able to run up to his best form, he is expected to be right around the mark.

Of the rest the Michael Clements trained Ride Of Valkyries remains under strong notice, stepping out for her Singapore debut.

Formerly based in Argentina, the daughter of Orpen was a Group 1 winner over 2011m and is clearly talented.

Given a good test up at the trials, she gives the impression she will be better for the run, but is capable of sprinting well fresh.

Using Timeform weight adjusted ratings, she appears very well placed on best form and she must be kept safe.

Good luck and happy punting.
