Kirani resumes at Tatura today and looks hard to go past when stepping out in the Sam Miranda Wines 70 Handicap (1150m).
The Pat Hyland-trained runner has a good record when fresh, winning two of three and placing on the other occasion which was on debut.
The four-year-old gelding ran in much tougher last campaign and back in grade for this looks very hard to hold out.
Kirani won a recent trial at Cranbourne over 990m and from barrier 9 with Ryan Maloney on board would expect him to go forward and take plenty of running down.
On best form the son of Dash For Cash rates on top and Hyland has elected to put the blinkers back on for this.
Likely to be taking on tougher than this later in the preparation and should be winning here on his way to bigger things this campaign.
Emboldened has placed in runs on either side of a spell and resumed in good order when third at Kyneton last start.
Should get a good run off the pace from barrier 2 in this and despite not having won in over a year generally runs well over this trip and would expect him to be fighting out the finish again.
Fildancer has failed to win a race in a long time now but was very consistent at the back end of last preparation and just missed when resuming at Corowa last start.
That effort rates well in this company and on the quick back up of nine days looks a danger here and is not to be discounted.
Pretty Kool Kat won well at Kilmore three back and has mixed her form in two outings since.
Did not beat a runner home at Kyneton last start but willing to forgive that effort and can bounce back here.
Blue Magnate looks the best f the rest on the back of a win two back at Corowa and is also not to be discounted.
