Khoo And Nunes Invincible

3 minute read

The in-form combination of Leslie Khoo and Manoel Nunes appears set to continue on Friday night, with three-year-old Invincible Man well placed in the final event at Singapore.

Lining up for just his tenth career start, Invincible Man has been racing in great order and should appreciate the drop back in trip.

Leading rider Manoel Nunes links back aboard and has already won twice aboard the son of I Am Invincible.

Overall Nunes is striking at 25 per cent with the Khoo stable and this season is striking at 32 per cent from 28 runners.

In six attempts on the polytrack, Invincible Man is yet to miss the money and has repeatedly put up form good enough to be victorious.

Unable to reel in Secret Mission two starts back, Invincible Man hit the line gamely last start, when only just edged out in the shadows of the post by Blue Diamond.

On that occasion, Invincible Man endured a wide run throughout and was forced to make a long sustained run.

Notably, that piece of form appears strong moving forward, with the latter set to contest a Class 3 event earlier in the night.

A noted front-runner, Invincible Man looks to receive all the favours from the inside draw, with Sebas, Clip The Ticket, Golden Tomahawk and Moonbeam Dazzler all likely to press for the lead.

As a result, Invincible Man should enjoy a lovely trail just off the speed, before making his run in straight.

While conceding weight to a majority of his rivals, Invincible Man appears well placed using Timeform weight adjusted ratings and should prove hard to beat.

The Michael Freedman trained Golden Tomahawk remains under strong notice, stepping out on debut for his new stable.

Formerly trained by Shane Baertschiger, the son of Turffontein has displayed plenty of ability in his short career to date, having made quite the impression when winning on debut last year.

Although unable to salute in three starts since, the form around Mexican Girl, Wimbledon and My Lucky Strike is obviously very strong.

Given the sole trial in the lead up, Golden Tomahawk appears in good order and has placed in three of four attempts on the polytrack.

The in-form Craig Newitt links aboard for the first time and is currently striking at 15 per cent with the Freedman stable.

From the inside draw, he is expected to adopt a forward position and should be in this for a long way.

The Theo Kieser trained Sebas was simply outclassed behind Kiwi Karma last start and should appreciate the sharp drop back in grade.

A narrow winner at this course and distance two back, the son of Exceed and Excel is notably yet to miss the money at this track.

On Timeform weight adjusted ratings he is well placed on best form, however his biggest obstacle remains the wide draw.

From barrier 13, regular jockey Alan Munro will have no choice but to press forward and attempt to cross his rivals.

While he does possess the tactical speed to do so, it is likely to leave him vulnerable over the concluding stages.

Nonetheless, he is clearly capable and must be respected.

Of the rest the Steven Burridge trained Lim's Affection remains under strong notice in her Singapore debut.

Formerly trained by Kevin Myers in New Zealand, the son of Elusive City won on debut by four lengths, before finishing third at her last start.

While failing to set the track alight in two trials, she obviously has ability and must be kept safe.

Good luck and happy punting.
