The Stephen Burridge trained Lim's Rally is clearly heading in the right direction and should prove very hard to beat in the ninth event this evening.

Quite unfortunate not to salute two back behind Wimbledon, the son of O'Reilly showcased his class last start when proving too strong stepping up in trip.

Ridden by regular jockey Soo Khoon Beng, Lim's Rally settled midfield with the Alvin Tan trained Blue Diamond ensuring a strong tempo out in front.

Peeled to the centre on straightening, Lim's Rally took a while to wind up before hitting the front inside the 300m.

Staying on strongly to the line, Lim's Rally drew away to salute by just over a length with the ever consistent Snitzel Spirit finishing second.

Successful in notching up his fourth career success, Lim's Rally improved seven pounds on his previous best, franking the form behind both Wimbledon and Smart People.

Last preparation he bumped into the likes of Group 2 placegetter Knight Wager, and while mixing his form he clearly put the writing on the wall that he is a promising type.

Remaining unbeaten over 1400m, the clock also backed up the strength of Lim's Rally performance.

Lim's Rally was comparatively marked over six lengths superior to his rivals and it remained the only race from the meeting that was recorded inside standard.

Since breaking his maiden status in October, Lim's Rally has improved close to 20 pounds and can continue to improve moving forward.

Relatively lightly raced (nine starts), Lim's Rally is one of a number of progressive three-year-olds currently in Singapore.

From the middle draw he is likely to camp just off the speed, with Elusive Emperor and Meteor Mike expected to press forward.

Using predictive ratings Lim's Rally is likely to improve between four and six pounds for this upcoming event and hence he appears very well placed.

Despite giving weight away all round, he still sits clear using Timeform weight adjusted ratings and has notably drawn to receive all the favours.

With three weeks between runs, Lim's Rally should have little concerns holding his form and is expected to be very hard to beat.

The Michael Freedman trained A La Victory is a big watch fresh following his unplaced effort in the Group 1 Singapore Guineas.

Prior to that the son of Alamosa had raced in great order including a narrow defeat at the hands of talented sprinter Kiwi Karma.

A winner of four of his nine career starts, he continued to raise the bar last time in and is likely to have improved further off a break.

In four attempts over this trip he is yet to miss the money, including two victories.

He is unbeaten in his sole attempt racing first up and although drawn awkwardly, in-form jockey Corey Brown helps to negate this factor.

Using Timeform weight adjusted ratings he appears well placed on best form and looms as a major threat to Lim's Rally.

He too is one of the more promising three-year-olds in Singapore and if able to continue his upwards spiral, he clearly has to be respected.

Fellow three-year-old Elusive Emperor hasn't been able to live up to market expectations in recent outings, however he still has to be kept safe.

A winner of three of his seven career starts, he is clearly capable when right and did have excuses last start after doing too much work early.

He has placed in two of three attempts over the trip and with Nooresh Juglall linking aboard he has to be considered one of the leading hopes.

From the middle draw he is likely to adopt a forward position and should be in this for a long way.

Of the rest the Cliff Brown trained Splice appears the next best following his solid victory at this course and distance last start.

While obviously tougher here he measures up using Timeform weight adjusted ratings and from the inside draw he has to be included.
