Hand From Above looks hard to go past when lining up in the EGroup Security Class 2 Handicap (1200m) at Gosford today.
The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained runner was good in his debut campaign, putting two wins together before battling on for third at Randwick.
Sent for a spell following that effort, Hand From Above has since been gelded and was solid in a recent trail at Warwick Farm over 802m.
Blake Shinn takes the ride for the first time and would expect the three-year-old gelding to have improved from last campaign.
Has not drawn the best in barrier 8 over the 1200m trip but would expect him to not be far away in the run having gone forward in all three starts last campaign.
Looks very well suited in this company and with the jockey/trainer combination striking just below 30% in recent times he should prove very hard to hold out.
Charlie Who shapes up as the main danger having run well in debut campaign before running second when returning at Canberra last start.
Likely to appreciate the step up in trip on that effort and has drawn to get a very good run today in barrier 4.
Does take on tougher company but on weight adjusted ratings his best form measures up well against these and he should be around the mark.
Mitchell Bell who is undefeated from two rides on board the four-year-old goes back on board and he should be right in the finish again.
Iron George was disappointing in the Provincial qualifier at Wyong last start having run well for fourth the start prior.
Does not win too often but is a very consistent type and should appreciate the step back to 1200m where both his wins have come.
His effort over 1350m at Wyong two back puts him right in the mix for this and with the 2kg claim for apprentice jockey gets in well and is certainly worth an each way ticket.
Forbidden Kisses rounds out the main chances having won two starts back before a fair effort up in grade at Warwick Farm last start.
Drawn to get the rails run and is likely to be somewhere in the finish once again today.
