Emerging four-year-old Lightning Fast appears well placed to return to the winner's stall following an eye catching return last start.

Trained by Desmond Koh the son of Hard Spun has displayed plenty of ability and now looks to be back better than ever.

A winner of three of his seven starts, Lightning Fast has only missed the money once and is sure to improve sharply racing second up.

While on trial at the trip, he gives the impression it will suit and he appears well placed at the weights.

Having been heavily supported late first up, Lightning Fast looked to travel strongly into the race, before he just peaked on his run late.

Beaten just under two lengths, it was an eye catching run and certainly indicated that he is back in good order.

Last preparation Lightning Fast continued to improve with racing and if able to follow a similar progression this time around, he will no doubt make his presence felt.

From the rails draw he is expected to settle closer to the speed and should receive all the favours for apprentice rider CC Wong.

In six attempts aboard the gelding, Wong has placed in five including all three of Lightning Fast's victories.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, little separates the leading contenders, however happy to lean the way of Lightning Fast given he still looks to have plenty of upside.

The Ricardo Le Grange trained Cyborg has won three of his five starts in Singapore and remains a big watch fresh.

Cyborg is unbeaten first up and is unbeaten in his sole attempt over the trip.

While conceding weight to all of his rivals he is certainly more than capable and does have a touch of class on his side.

Admittedly he will be better over further, however with three trials under his belt he appears tuned up to perform well fresh.

Barend Vorster sticks aboard having ridden the four-year-old in all five starts and shouldn't be too far away from the inside draw.

If back to his best, Cyborg will certainly make his presence felt.

The Mark Walker trained Distinctive Darci was disappointing last start, however he is clearly worth another chance on best form.

Well supported to start favourite, Distinctive Darci failed to fire a shot when unable to springboard off his narrow defeat first up.

A winner of four of his eight starts, no question he is a talent and given the stable is setting him for grander goals, he can be forgiven for his below par effort last start.

Unbeaten third up, this is somewhat 'D' day for Distinctive Darci as he would want to be showing something in this field.

From the good draw he looks to receive a charmed run for Mosse and shapes as one of the hardest to beat.

Of the rest the Shane Baertschiger trained Aramco appears the next in line, dropping back to a more suitable trip.

An impressive winner two back at this course and distance, he can have his off days, but when right he rates well on best form.

Like the fact he has been kept fresh (30 days) and cannot be taken lightly.
