Sun Mirage To Return A Winner

3 minute read

The Desmond Koh trained Sun Mirage raced in good order last preparation and appears well placed to return a winner in the tenth event at Singapore this evening.

A winner of two of his 12 starts, Sun Mirage has also placed on a further seven occasions and went to the paddock in good order.

While yet to be tested over this trip, Sun Mirage is a winner over 1200m and is certainly more than capable on best form.

Sun Mirage has placed fresh previously and has trialled well in the lead up.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, Sun Mirage appears well placed, especially after factoring in CC Wong's claim.

Sun Mirage is arguably better on the turf, however he has placed on the polytrack previously and has placed in eight of his last 11 attempts.

From the middle draw he is expected to adopt a prominent position and should be in this for a long way.

While likely to improve with racing, he is certainly more than capable of taking this out first up.

The Dan Meagher trained Mikcaipho remains a big watch in his Singapore debut having displayed decent ability when formerly trained in Australia.

Formerly trained by John O'Shea, Mikcaipho won on debut at Moe before finishing at the tail at Sale.

At his best he is certainly up to this standard and given he is only lightly raced, he remains open to further improvement moving forward.

With three trials under his belt, he should be forward enough to sprint well fresh and the engagement of Danny Beasley is a decent push for his chances.

Although drawn a touch awkwardly, he still shapes as one of the hardest to beat.

The John O'Hara trained Bigdinero returned in good order last start and remains open to good improvement racing second up.

A winner of four of his 44 attempts, he has placed on a further 14 occasions and rates well on best form.

Bigdinero is proven to perform well on the polytrack and cannot be taken lightly.

Of the rest the Mark Walker trained The Cosmos appears the next in line.

While mixing his form of late, he too is more than capable on best form and remains under strong notice.

Good luck and happy punting.
