Sunshine Coast: Race 1 @ 12:07pm

Badajoz heads north for Darren Beadman in search of a much deserved win and will line up in the opening race of the day at Sunshine Coast.

The Godolphin-trained runner has come back in very good order this campaign, running second in both starts at Rosehill, the most recent over 1100m behind the impressive Sir Plush.

Possessing a very handy career record, Badajoz drops back to the 1000m for the first time in his career but rates well against his rivals on recent efforts and shapes up as the clear top pick. Read More

Sydney Specials - Rosehill: Race 7 @ 3:05pm

Rosehill on Saturday boasts a strong nine race card of winter racing where the Sydney Jockeys' Premiership has the potential to heat up.

Saturday’s meeting shapes as an above average nine race card where Hugh Bowman could potentially launch a serious challenge at Brenton Avdulla for the Sydney Jockeys’ .

Bowman presently sits 8.5 wins shy of Brenton Avdulla at the top of the premiership however can go some of the way in bridging that gap at Rosehill on Saturday with three of his nine rides currently possessing favouritism.

Gold Symphony shapes as his best ride at each way odds who contests the Listed Civic Stakes (1350m).

The Melbourne Mai - Caulfield: Race 6 @ 2:45pm

The Darren Weir-trained Nikitas is hardly a prolific winner but The Melbourne Mail has him pegged as a horse with wins in store this preparation.

Nikitas was tested against the better horses early in his career which put a nice dent in his strike rate but he did prove himself handy and his first up win at Warrnambool for Darren Weir was the win of a horse with plenty more to offer.

He has run second twice since then - including when well-fancied by The Melbourne Mail at Sandown - which could be seen as a shade disappointing but he's run into two good winners and importantly his ratings have continued to edge in the right direction from that first up win.

His upward-spiralling ratings profile lands him at the head of proceedings (on recent form) in race six at Caulfield and we aren't expecting him to go backwards now.

The Say From SA - Morphettville: Race 3 @ 1:33pm (AEST)

A staying filly is easy to like as our best at Morphettville on Saturday.

Even though taking on the older horses again, more than happy to stick with a last start winner in Pretty Punk as the best.

On breeding alone it is no surprise that she would be coming into her own once getting to a mile and a half Read More

Best From The West: Belmont: Race 5 @ 5:04pm (AEST)

The Michael Morton trained Nelson's Flight went down as favourite last start however he is worth sticking with at Belmont on Saturday.

Due to contest the fifth event, Nelson's Flight really impressed two back when spacing his rivals at Pinjarra over 1400m.

Led throughout on that occasion and returned decent figures in the process.

Well tried to go back to back at Belmont last start, but felt Pike missed the boat when electing to take a sit, working home well to finish second behind Come On Board.

On the relatively quick back up (10 days) and appears well placed down in the weights.

From the inside draw expect Pike to be more aggressive and he can certainly turn the tables on Come On Board.Read More
