Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Wyong, Bendigo, Dalby, Northam.
WYONG: RACE 6 @ 3:05 PM
IT'S A WONDER (3) finds her right race today over the 1600m and will appreciate the big class drop. Gave them a big start on straightening when ploughing through the heavy conditions late to finish a narrow fourth over 1600m at Randwick in BM78 grade on June 8. Schiller rides and should prove too strong for this lot. EXTERNUS (5) trained locally and kept fresh for this after running on late when fourth over 1600m at Dubbo on May 25. Kept up to the mark with a recent Wyong trial over 1000m. Drop in weight suits and can take a hand in the finish. AIX EN PROVENCE (2) progressive gelding racing in career-best form. Won his maiden two back before sitting on the pace with the 59kg when a game second over 1500m at Kembla Grange on June 4. Winkers go on and will be in this for a long way. Market best guide. TAKEOVER ARTIST (4) mixing his form this time in and the stable has tinkered with the gear today. Gets Stanley's 2kg claim again and his win two-back was impressive. Value runner.

TOWN CRIER (4) was doing his best work late first-up when closing strongly into fourth at the Sunshine Coast. Is sure to have come on from the hit-out and is drawn kinder. Expect him to take plenty of stitching. THE LUCKY ALIEN (1) kept finding to return a winner last start at Ipswich. Has enough dash to offset the wide alley and is expected to be in this for a very long way. JOJO RABBIT (5) improved sharply second-up getting the verdict at Gatton. Can take another step in the right direction here as he returns to a venue she's tasted success at before. SALT LAKE BETTY (6) showed good early dash when resuming at Gatton, only to be claimed late and finish third behind Jojo Rabbit. Concedes weight to the winner but gets a positive jockey switch in Matheson.
SELECTIONS: Town Crier the one to beat.
BENDIGO: RACE 5 @ 2:30 PM
AFFLUENTIAL (6) will be all the rage again. He's won his past five, a mix of flat and jumps runs, dominant at Werribee on the flat two back and again far too good in a BM120 hurdle at Sandown-Lakeside last time. Gets in very light at the weights here and should go close. TEAM CAPTAIN (2) hasn't won in a while but is a handy stayer on his day and hasn't been far away of late. This is easier than last start in the Sandown Cup. LINCOLN KING (1) is racing well over the jumps, third in the Australian Hurdle last start at Sandown-Lakeside over 3900m. Prior to that he was just behind Affluential at Warrnambool. Solid hope. SING FOR PEACE (3) hasn't really fired this time in but his best is good enough. NASSAK DIAMOND (4) next best.
SELECTIONS: Affluential to win.
NORTHAM: RACE 7 @ 4:16 PM
IDYLLIC RULER (2) has run on well from a long way back in his past couple and now draws a much better barrier today. His run at this track and trip last start was solid and the 1.5kg claim of Gaerth comes in handy. Can be closer today than he has been recently and land the knockout punch. COSMIC CHAOS (1) was far too good at Pinjarra (S) last start when scoring by 1.3L over 1800m. Back a furlong today which is the niggle, but he'll be in a good position in the run and he won't be far away if he can run up to recent efforts. ROCK DEE JAY (6) is on the quick turnaround following a 1L defeat at Pinjarra last time out. He hasn't won for a long time, but he looks to have his hoof on the till and the senior jock hopping on board is a tick. Can make his presence felt again. HUGHBERT (9) is better than he showed last time out and looks an improver.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Idyllic Ruler.
