Trainer Gary Hall Snr is hoping for some good fortune to help Acharne Girl upstage Soho Seraphine in tonight’s $50,000 Kerry Clarke (2130m) at Gloucester Park.

The mare has drawn barrier 10 on the back of Soho Seraphine, who will be having her first start under the care of trainer Kim Prentice tonight.

Hall Snr declared his consistent mare has never been better ahead of the Kerry Clarke, as she looks to score her biggest win to date.

"I think she's going as good as I can get her going," Hall Snr told TABradio.

"I think she's going as good as she's gone.

"At this level, it's a bit tougher."

Stuart McDonald takes the drive on the five-year-old, after Gary Hall Jnr decided to drive last start winner Three Rumours.

Soho Seraphine is the $1.85 TABtouch favourite, while Acharne Girl has been the target of some solid support on the second line of betting at $3.90.

Three Rumours, a $5.50 chance, has drawn alongside Acharne Girl in barrier 11 and Hall Jnr looks set to get the chance to put her in the race.

Hall Snr said it could be difficult to get over the top of his two key rivals.

"It's just a matter of what happens and what speed there is and whether the one holds up," he said.

"Obviously Junior has gone for Three Rumours because it was a huge run last start.

"It's probably going to end up in the breeze pretty easily.

"She's still a winning chance and she loves the rail."

Meanwhile, Hall Snr looks well placed to score another Free-For-All win when Diego, Jumpingjackmac and Wildwest line up in tonight's Hoist Solutions Pace (2130m).

Diego has drawn barrier three, with Wildwest and Jumpingjackmac in barrier five and six respectively.

Hall Snr said he couldn't split Diego and Jumpingjackmac.

"It depends on the one and two," he said.

"It depends on the start and whether Diego can get an easy lead.

"If Diego finds an easy lead, I think he will win."

Tonight's Gloucester Park meeting gets underway at 4.05.
