Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Juvenile maidens in the opener with just three of the twelve having raced before. We will side with one of those in (4) WANGCHOEGO, who did nothing on debut in June, but returned on July 20th and ran 2nd over this distance. He was miles behind an eye-catching winner but showed enough to be backed to go one better here. Among the first timers (8) HYEUKMUSANG led all the way to win a trial on July 25th stopping the clock in a good time. He can be on pace here and can be in this a long way. (6) MIGHTY RUSH and (7) BEST JOY both clocked the same time in their respective heats with the latter winning his and they can be supported first up too. (1) KARA K another who hinted at ability in trials and can go well.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(5) TRIPLE ACE enters off back-to-back 3rd place finishes at this distance, racing close to the pace both times. She has the fastest time among these for the distance and from a good gate she should be on the speed again and with Moon Se-young on, today can be the day. She will vie for favourite status with (10) CHEONGUNG STORM, The Shackleford colt raced on pace for much of his debut over 1000M, ultimately coming home 2nd in a fair time. He should have derived benefit from that experience and while up in trip and with the challenge of a wide draw, he can be a big danger. (8) YEONGWONHARA was a much-improved 2nd at start number four on July 27th, leading for much of the way and beating Triple Ace. Expect her to be on pace again and in the mix. (1) TALITHA CUMI and (6) ELDORADO HEUNGBU others who can improve.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Fillies only here and (10) KHAN NUT shapes as a short-priced favourite. After running 5th on debut, she was an improved 3rd over this 1200M on July 28th, when she led for much of the way around and beat a couple of today's rivals. Despite the wide draw, she can be on pace here and offers jockey Ruan Maia a good chance of opening his Korean account. (6) SILVER MOON ran 4th behind Khan Nut in that July 28th race. She also has a 3rd place on her resume already and can be in the mix again here. (11) SKY TEN beat Khan Nut on the way to 2nd place two starts back on July 6th in a similar filly maiden to this. She led in her latest over this distance on  August 3rd but from the wide draw here can be ridden a bit more patiently and challenge late. (3) DONKEY PLAY and (7) MISS CONCORD others in the frame.

Selections (10) Khan Nut (6) Silver Moon (11) Sky Ten (3) Donkey Play

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(2) SAMAEBEONJJEOK got her maiden win at start number nine at this class and distance on August 3rd when racing handy and running on with a couple of today's rivals behind her. She comes up 3.5kg in the weights but draws well and a repeat isn't impossible. (6) MINT PLAY remains a maiden after sixteen attempts but enters with recent form reading consistently well at this class. She has a 2nd and a 3rd from her latest two, both at this class and distance and under a light weight, she should be a big danger. (11) FINAL GO got his maiden win three starts back over this distance and enters off a smart runner-up finish at this level on June 9th. He comes in fresh after twelve weeks out and the wide gate shouldn't be a problem. (8) MO CHUISLE and (1) ULTRA MANGCHI the other main placing chances.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Fillies (and one mare) only here and anything could win. (6) SAENAE VIVA enters off a smart runner-up finish at class and distance on June 29th when she led almost the entire way around. She comes in fresh after nine weeks out and she can be on pace and go one better today. (1) ULTRA HIT got her maiden win in fine style over 1200M on July 27th when settling handy and running away to win to by plenty. She comes up in class and slightly in trip, but neither should be an issue and she can win again. (4) BIG BRIDGE is yet to win in six attempts but has three runner-up finishes, crucially including last time out at this class and distance when ridden handy. She can sit behind the speed in this company and be a danger late on. (3) QUEEN ABIGAIL and (9) COMPLETE PARTY among plenty of others who have claims.

Selections (6) Saenae Viva (1) Ultra Hit (4) Big Bridge (3) Queen Abigail

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Tricky race. (8) LOVE MUNMAK comes off the Triple Tiara trail, where she finished 5th of fifteen in the Korean Oaks when sent off as the longest shot on the board before having a harder time over 2000M in the Gyeonggi Governor's Cup. She comes back into more amenable company today and having places already at class and distance, she can win. (1) P N S CAR is yet to win in twelve but has eight top five finishes. Previous tries at two turns haven't been successful, but an apprentice takes his weight right down, and he can be in the mix here. (2) TAP DIA is another maiden, in her case after seven tries, but she has five top-three finishes, two of them at this class and distance. Moon Se-young climbs on and she will have plenty of backers. (11) OSONGEUI BYEOL and (4) HANGANG GLORY among others in the frame.

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Another challenging race. We'll take a chance on (8) THE GIANT making it three in a row. True it took him nine goes to get his maiden win, but he scored in his latest two in fine style, both over this distance at class 5 level. He comes up in class here but is down in the weights, Harry is two for two on him, and he can complete his hat-trick. (4) TIZ MORNING got a hat-trick of her own between February and May. She has since registered a 3rd and a 5th at 1400M and 1800M and while she is yet to win around two turns, she looks nicely in here and may well start as the betting favourite. (6) NAEGILUI QUEEN enters with recent form reading well, including a close 2nd at this class over 1800M two starts back. She likes to race on pace and can be in this a long way. (9) RAON THE CHARLIE and (5) ZETTA MASTER are other contenders.

Selections (8) The Giant (4) Tiz Morning (6) Naegilui Queen (9) Raon The Charlie

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(5) CAPTAIN TIME has raced twice at this class, finishing 3rd on bit occasions at 1400M and 1300M, racing handy both times. Both her wins came over this trip, she draws nicely here, and she can return to winning ways. (6) GEUMAK DIA was a winner over this distance at class 5 level two starts back and then ran a close 2nd on his first try at this class on July 28th having been on pace throughout and briefly leading. He comes up slightly in the weights but will be challenging Captain Time for the lead right from the start, and he shapes as the main danger. (10) LADY HANABI won back-to-back races in February and March before suffering a setback. She looked well when winning a trial on August 16th in a fast time and while up in class, she carries a light weight and can be competitive first-up. (7) MENI SPEAR and (1) BURUI YEOWANG other placing chances.

Selections (5) Captain Time (6) Geumak Dia (10) Lady Hanabi (7) Meni Spear

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(7) PUNGUNJIMA has raced sparingly, and not at all since running 2nd over 1200M back on May 18th. He has five top two finishes from six starts so far though and with Moon Se-young on, in this company, he should be on or close to the speed and can win. (8) RAON TIMOTH began his career in a hurry and while he hasn't been able to quite maintain that momentum, he enters following three consecutive 3rd place finishes, all at this class and the latter two at this distance. He remains nicely weighted and should be matching or bettering those today. (10) ARGO TAP comes in off a useful 2nd place at this class over 1200M on July 28th and may offer some each way interest. (6) JECHUK IHO and (5) KNIGHT CHARM others in the hunt.

Selections (7) Pungunjima (8) Raon Timoth (10) Argo Tap (6) Jechuk Iho

Seoul Race 10: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(3) QUEEN TOP was a winner at this class over 1400M on July 27th when coming from well off the pace to score narrowly in a good time. At the start before she was 3rd on her only previous try at the mile and still under a light weight and with a good draw, she is favoured to win again here. (4) THUNDER A ONE is up in class having won emphatically over 1200M on July 14th when close to the pace throughout. He comes slightly down in weight, draws well, and can measure up in this company. (10) SEOBU CHAMP is similarly up in class following a win of his own over 1400M on August 4th when coming from well off the pace. The step up to a mile can suit and the wide draw shouldn't pose any problems. The form drops off a bit after those three but (5) THUNDER HORSE and (1) SIDAEUI MYEONGJAK look the most likely of the rest to compete for the minors.

Selections (3) Queen Top (4) Thunder A One (10) Seobu Champ (5) Thunder Horse

Seoul Race 11: Class 3 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(4) GIANT STEP is a winner of three from six so far including his latest over a mile on July 13th when he raced handy throughout and proved too strong. He comes up in class here but is down significantly in weight and he looks to have plenty of potential for more. (2) BENCAL PRINCESS was a winner over 1400M at class 4 level two starts back before running 3rd on her first try at this class and distance on June 2nd. She has had thirteen weeks off since then so come sin fresh and from a great draw can get an easy run to the lead and be in this a long way. (1) JUMONG CHEONHA has been working back towards another win and while he finds himself up in class today, he carries a light weight and draws well with every chance of going close at a probable each-way price. (9) BEST TORCH and (8) LUCKY PARTY others in the hunt.

Selections (4) Giant Step (2) Bencal Princess (1) Jumong Cheonha (9) Best Torch
