Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Juvenile maiden fillies only in the opener with all but one racing for the first time. The pick from trials is (4) LALA GIRL. She failed to qualify in her first attempt in June but looked much more assured at the second time of asking on July 11th, leading her heat for much of the way before crossing the line in 3rd in a decent time. She should be on pace and can go all the way. (11) SWITCH POWER qualified at try number one but went through another trial on July 25th (voluntary so be aware it won't show in some racecards). She was much better in the second showing on pace and if she shows similar improvement here, she will be close. (6) DUSON OPEN led her trial and was a very close 2nd in a fair time. (12) STUNNING WORLD and the sole one with experience, (2) BEAT DOKKAEBI are other chances.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(3) CLAIR GOLD enters off a fair midfield finish over 1300M last time out, but if we go on her 2nd place two starts back on June 22nd at this distance, she has to be firmly in the mix. In this small field she can be on or just behind the pace, and she has a smart finish on her. (7) SEONGSIL YEOGEOL hasn't done much across ten starts but perked up a bit last time out on August 3rd when 4th in an all-filly race over 1300M. She won't need to improve much on that showing to be in the finish here. (8) TRES VITE has finished in 4th or 5th place on no fewer than nine occasions, but never any better. She came from off the pace to run 4th over this distance last time out and could go one better here. (1) JEWELRY FASHION and (2) EVER THE CROWN others potentially in the placing frame.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Fillies only in this maiden. (4) KYLIE has been getting closer across seven starts so far, culminating in a 2nd place finish over 1200M on July 21st when racing handy throughout. She was a fair margin behind a good winner, but she draws well, Moon Se-young gets on, and today could be the day. (10) THUNDER STORM has two 3rd places to her name, including at her latest outing on June 29th when coming from off the pace and finishing strongly at this distance and she can be a danger here. (8) MAGIC IMPACT ran once, somewhat anonymously back in January and then didn't return until July 13th when she ran a fair 5th over 1400M, showing close to the pace. She can strip fitter for that experience and be close here. (7) CHOCO BEAUTY and (11) LEGAL LAHUI other place chances.

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(6) GANGCHEOL DRAGON enters off back-to-back 3rd place finishes at 1300M and most recently this distance on June 22nd when he had a couple of today's rivals behind him. He has the fastest time among these for 1400M and against this limited set of rivals, he won't need to improve much, if at all, to win. (1) GANGCHEOL BUDAE does have a 3rd place on his resume and third-up this preparation after six months off, may be at his peak here. (7) FLYING LION is slow but has managed to get three top five finishes and should be aiming for a career to date best in this company. (8) CHEONJI MARKET beat a couple of these on her way to 4th place over this distance last time out and can beat a few again. (3) ELITE BOSS another minor money possible.

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(9) WATER DRAGON has a 3rd and a 2nd in two starts so far at 1200M and 1300M first from handy and second leading. In this company, he can be expected to be on the speed and if he didn't already get it on Friday, it should surely be Kim Young-kwan's 1500th career win here. (6) WONDERFUL TEAM has mixed her form across four starts so far, she enters off a solid 3rd place at this distance on June 30th. She likes to settle back and come form off the pace and she can be a danger here. (3) DIA MATE beat a couple of these on her way to 6th pace over this distance on July 19th. The time was fair and that's enough to put her in the mix. (8) GUKDAE LEGEND and (5) LUCKY HIT other placing chances.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(4) SMART CAT has eight top five finishes from eleven starts so far, including last time out when a close 2nd in a quick race at this class and distance on July 27th. He can get a bit far back before running on, but in this small field if he is in striking distance late on, he has the best finish among these. (2) WONDERFUL SEEKING is yet to win having been promoted to this class with two runner-up finishes. She proved that she measures up in this company though with her last start 3rd place over this distance on July 20th when beating a couple of today's rivals. She carries a light weight, draws well to be on pace, and she can be close. (8) DAERYUN SIDAE was 4th in that July 20th race. She has been working back into form over her latest few runs and can continue to get closer here. (5) CHEONGRYANGSAN and (7) ZEROBAEKFOUR the others in the minor money hunt.

Busan Race 2: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(8) LEMON TREE ran out a good winner on debut on July 12th posting a quick time over 1000M and leading most of the way. He is up in class and slightly in trip but down in the weights and the manner of that win suggests there can be more to come. (11) ALICE MARINE is yet to win in fourteen attempts but has no fewer than eleven top five finishes. That includes her latest on August 3rd when runner-up in a fast race a class and distance having showed on pace early, dropped back, and then run on again. Munro climbs on here and while she may find one too quick again, she is a solid place chance. (1) NUNBUSINGIL was sent back to trial following a poor effort first-up at this class. He looked very well in the heat and can be given another chance here. (7) EVERY KING IJI and (5) TAP DREAM others in line for the minors.

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Competitive race. (11) GOLD SIDAE was a winner on debut in April and has since finished between 3rd and 5th in three starts at this class. His victory came at this trip and while he has the challenge of the widest gate, he can find a forward position and can win this. (5) GLORY AND HONOR should really have won two stars back but now has two 3rd place finishes in a row. In this company, he should sit just behind the early leaders, and he has a fast finish on him. That pair will be at the top of most tickets but (8) TUAREG NINE was 4th behind Glory And Honor last time out and while he doesn't shape as a winning chance, this is the kind of race he can be ridden forward in and earn some prize money. (9) MAX GOLD returns for the first time since May and can offer some each-way interest. (1) THUNDER SPEED another in the hunt.

Busan Race 3: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(4) QUEEN OF DRAGON got her maiden win at start two over 1200M in July before coming up to this class on August 2nd and went down as runner-up by a very narrow margin in a fast race over 1300M (all the races were fast that day).She comes up 1.5kg in the weights and up to 1400M for the first time, but neither should be an issue, and she won't need to improve much to win this. (7) SUCCESS BATTLE mixes his form but comes in off a very smart 2nd place at class and distance on August 11th and is entitled to be a strong contender here. (3) THUNDER GUY was well back behind Queen Of Dragon in that August 2nd race. That was his first try at this class and he has placed over 1400M already. (6) NEOM CITY and (9) NAMDO ILDEUNG others to consider.

Seoul Race 7: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Small field and (8) WONDERFUL WELLS will be a short price to score. She got her maiden win three starts back over this distance and has since run 3rd and 2nd in two tries at this class at 1200M and 1400M. She can race on pace and handy and should have too much for this lot. (7) NAOL DAEWANG is yet to win in sixteen attempts but has a fair few near misses, including on his latest start on July 21st when coming from well back. He continues under a light weight and can be the main danger. (5) GOLDEN DRAGON ran out of steam on August 4th on what was his first start in over five months. He had shown on pace in the early stages of that 1400M test and he should strip fitter for the run. (6) SOLAIRE and (3) EUNSEONG NOEUL other place chances.

Busan Race 4: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(6) SEVEN DRAGON has spent his last few races working back toward another win, most recently running a close 2nd at this class over a mile on August 10th when settling midfield and running on. While a previous try at 1800M was underwhelming, he looks ready for another go here and he is the one to beat. (1) DOCTOR CAPTAIN was a winner at this class over a mile two starts back and while he could only manage 6th of eleven at this distance last time out, that was against a deeper field, and he can be given another chance here. (4) QUEEN'S ROAD stumbled out of the gate last time out and never played a part. Draw a line through that and instead go on her class and distance win on July 12th when making all and beating a couple of today's rivals, and she is right in this. (7) MILK DAY and (8) ADELE BOSS others in the frame.

Seoul Race 8: Class Open (1200M) Special Weight A / Rookie Stakes@Seoul / KRW 150 Million

One year of from Lala K's antics, the Rookie Stakes returns to Seoul (Busan was unable to scrape together enough juveniles to run their edition this time around). (7) HANSEN STAR will be the favourite. He debuted over 1000M on July 6th, and he blitzed the field, stopping the clock in 59.5 seconds (very fast for this sand). He's been targeted at this and can go gate to wire again. A lot can happen with the juveniles though and plenty of these have shown some promise. (11) HANGANG PERFECT didn't do much on debut but significantly improved when winning at start number two on July 14th, settling midfield and running on. With more improvement he can be a danger. (12) SEOUL BULCHUNGGAK came from midfield to win well over this distance on debut on July 28th, beating a couple of these in the process. (3) CAPTAIN P.K. and (2) GEOLJAK SIDAE among plenty of others who have already caught the eye.

Busan Race 5: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(1) MAGARITA wore blinkers for the first time and was slow away for the first time but won well at this class and distance on August 2nd. She comes up 2.5kg in the weights but draws nicely on the inside and she can go back-to-back. (4) FLYING ACE shapes as the main danger. She is very consistent and was 2nd in a very fast race over 1300M on August 2nd (a day of extremely fast times), when racing on pace. She comes up 3kg in the weights but will be very dangerous at the finish. (6) FIRST PARK returned to sprinting and returned to form when 2nd August 2nd. That brings the veteran up in class, but she is down in weight and in this company can place again. (2) HANEUL JILJU and (5) JEONGMUN SPECTER are others in the frame.

Seoul Race 9: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

This one is wide open. (11) CHEONJANGSA got his maiden win at start number three over 1300M before running 5th in both his first two tries at this class. The wide draw shouldn't be a problem, the slight step up in trip can suit, and he still has plenty of potential for development. (7) WHIZ LOVER was an emphatic winner at this distance on July 21st. He comes up in class here and he was beaten by Cheonjangsa two starts back, but he is down in the weights and the manner of that victory suggests that there can be more to come. (9) DAEMUL SOCKS finally broke through at start number thirteen on July 28th at this class and distance. The win had been coming and while he is up 3.5kg in weight, a repeat can't be ruled out. (8) SEOBU TEUKSONG and (5) MYEONGSEONG CHUKJE others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 10: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(1) STILL PLAY will be a warm favourite. It's been ten starts since his last win, but he has been getting closer across recent outings with back-to-back runner-up finishes in his latest two, both at this class and distance and last time on July 21st only going down very narrowly in a quick time. He comes up 2kg in weight, but today should be his day. (5) STUNNING LADY is up in class following a gate-to-wire score over 1300M on July 13th in a fast time. She is down in weight, she draws well to lead again and she can be in this a long way. (9) COMPLETE STEP returned from sic months out to run 3rd over 1300M on Jully 7th showing on pace. She continues under a very light weight, and she can strip fitter for that run. (2) VET CAPTAIN and (4) HIDDEN BLADE others to consider.

Seoul Race 11: Class 3 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(5) FAIR SKIES comes up in class having won over this distance on June 23rd, settling midfield and running on. In the absence of an apprentice claim, he actually caries more weight this time, but he still looks nicely in here, and he can win again. Favourite will be (6) RAON THE COBRA. He won back-to-back races at 1300M and 1200M at class 4 level in May and June and while he had a poor day at the office on his first try at this class on July 14th, he is well worth another chance here. (1) ÉCLAIRFURY returns to action for the first time since April. She has the fastest time among these for the distance, and she looked very well in two July trials. (11) APEX and (9) JEOLDAE GACHI other place chances.

Seoul Race 12: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(6) WORLD BLAME is yet to win in six attempts but has never been outside of the top four, with four 3rd places on his record. That includes his latest on July 6th when tried around two turns for the first time at 1700M. Moon Se-young gets on for the first time and it can be his day. (3) EAST WEST is similarly without a win, in his case after eight efforts, but he too has come close, especially last time out on July 28th when tackling 1800M for the first time and running a close 2nd having shown on pace throughout. He comes up 2.5kg in the weights but draws nicely and can be in this a long way once more. The step up in trip last time certainly seemed to suit (2) NEW DOLKONG, who was a much-improved 2nd on July 6th, beating World Blame. He can settle handy today and be a danger again. (1) BLUE INDY and (10) MADISON MOUNTAIN others in the placing frame.
