Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Juvenile maiden fillies with four of the eight racing for the first time. (5) STUNNING PEARL ran 3rd on debut over this distance on October 5th, settling midfield and running on, stopping the clock in a fair time. She should have come on for that run, and rates as a chance here. (2) I AM GO has raced twice, both at 1000M, and she showed ability, coming home 3rd and 2nd, having raced on pace both times. She returns here from a seventeen-week layoff so must be taken on trust somewhat, but she will probably start as favourite. (7) SWITCH POWER and to a lesser extent (8) B.K. LOVE have hinted at ability in their respective two starts and may improve stepped up to 1200M. Among the debut-makers, (4) GRACE ROUTE was the best in trials.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(4) GLOBAL SERVE ran 4th on debut in September before improving to 2nd at start number two on October 19th when he led for much of the around and was only narrowly beaten. Third-up, he can be peaking fitness wise, and from a good gate can be on pace and go all the way. (8) ORION ALPHA comes in off a 2nd place on her third start over this distance on October 12th. She too was on pace the entire way around and she shapes as the main danger. (10) SEMYEONG STRONG has shown improvement across his three appearances to date, most recently when 2nd at this distance on October 13th. He has the challenge of a wider draw this time, but his style isn't to lead so if he can sit off the pace, he can play a part in the finish. (7) HAKSAN DAESE and (3) WANGCHOEGO among others in the hunt.

Selections (4) Global Serve (8) Orion Alpha (10) Semyeong Strong (7) Haksan Daese

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1700M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

A few chances here but (1) PROCEED gets the nod. He is yet to finish in the top two but has five finishes in the 3rd to 5th range, up to 1400M. His running style suggests that the step up to two turns for the first time can suit, and he is the one to beat. (2) GANGCHEOL DRAGON is similar in that he hasn't troubled the quinella but has no fewer than eight top five finishes. His one previous try at this distance ended in 4th back in September and with an apprentice claiming 3kg, he should be looking to go better here. (3) POETIC NUBI comes in off back-to-back 3rd places over 1300M. He is another for whom the step up to 1400M can suit, and Maia climbing on is a plus. (5) MARUBYEOL and (4) COSMO KING the other place chances.

Selections (1) Proceed (2) Gangcheol Dragon (3) Poetic Nubi (5) Marubyeol

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(4) AQUA LINE was a winner on debut over 1000M in September before running 2nd on his first try at this class at 1300M on October 19th. Both times he has settled right back before running on strongly, so the step up in trip can suit a nd he can win here. The danger is (3) KKUMUI HYANGGI. She's yet to win in seven starts but has five top three finishes, including her latest on October 13th when coming from midfield to run 3rd over this distance. She has the fastest time among these for the 1400M, and she should be in the mix again. (10) ELDORADO NOLBU was a winner on debut in August and has since run 2nd and 3rd in two tries at this class. He comes from off the pace so the wide draw shouldn't be a problem, and he can threaten late again here. (5) MAX PARTY and (11) MOMO K will be the others backed on a place line.

Selections (4) Aqua Line (3) Kkumui Hyanggi (10) Eldorado Nolbu (5) Max Party

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(6) PALO ALTO led every step of the way on debut over 1200M on October 5th to win very handily. She comes up in class and slightly in distance, but the manner of that win suggests there is more to come, and she can win again. (9) MUNHAK BOY got his maiden win in emphatic style over this distance at start number two on October 20th having previously run 3rd on debut. That day he stalked the leader before most of the race before pulling clear and scoring by a full eleven-lengths and he will have plenty of backers to repeat. (2) RAON THE KLAMMER is yet to win in ten attempts but has finished in the top three in each of his latest four and from a good draw, will be expected to be there or thereabouts again. (11) CHEONGUCHAT and (1) MENI CHARM among other placing hopes.

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Two standouts here both of them up in class following maiden wins on their respective second starts. (3) GOLDEN JACKPOT ran 4th on debut before racing on pace throughout and pulling away to win by seven-lengths on October 6th. The manner of that win suggests there is more to come, and its recency is what gives the edge over (2) CHEONGUNG STORM whose win came back on August 31st. He previously ran 2nd on debut at 1000M and got his victory when coming out of gate ten. He has drawn much better this time and has every chance. (6) SHINE BOLT comes in having run 3rd at this class over 1300M on October 6th and under a light weight again, she can settle back and challenge late. (1) HAENGBOK YEOJEONSA and (4) HANGANG GLORY others in the frame.

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(2) BUGANGJILJU comes in off a very narrow 2nd place over this distance on October 12th. That brings him up in class today, but the time was very competitive, he comes down 3.5kg in the weights, and from a great draw, he can be on pace and measure up. (7) SEOCHEON LION won back-to-back races over 1300M at class 5 level back in the spring and has since proven competitive in two tries at this level, with a 2nd and a 3rd, again both over the 1300M. He has won at this distance too and while he carries his fair share of weight, he should be the main danger. (1) JECHUK IHO is yet to win in eleven but remarkably is yet to finish outside the top five. He likes to settle back and run on and should be there or thereabouts again. (8) RAON SPRINTER and (4) LADY CODI are other placing chances.

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRA 60 Million

(1) CHEONDUNG LION enters off a best to date 3rd place at start number three over 1200M on October 6th, when settling midfield and running on to beat three of today's rivals. The step up to 1400M for the first time can suit, and he is the one to beat. (6) MATTERHORN K has raced just twice, improving to 4th at his second start on September 28th when sent up to this trip. Third up he can be peaking, and he can be a danger. (2) UWANGRYUNG was 5th behind Matterhorn K in that September 28th race but was a winner at this class over 1200M two outings back when leading all the way around. He draws well to be on pace and with a good start, he can be in this a long way. (7) JEONGSEONG FACTOR and (8) JEONGSANG ZEUS are the other placing chances.

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(1) AMAZING ROCK got his third win at start nine last time out on October 13th at this class and distance when racing handy throughout and running on. He gets to carry almost as little weight today, and that should mean that he is firmly in the hunt again. The reason he gets such a light weight is the presence at the top of the handicap of (3) ARGO MUJEOK. It's been six starts since his latest win, but he has been working back into form, most recently with a class and distance 4th over 1700M on October 19th. He tackles 1800M for the first time and he should be in the finish. (2) THANK YOU DAECHEON ran 2nd to Amazing Rock in that October 13th race. He likes to settle back and run on, and he can be challenging late again. (8) SAINT LUCCA and (7) MAGIC PRINCE others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 10: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Not the strongest of races for the level. That leaves (2) JEDI FORCE as perhaps the most likely despite a record of one win from twenty-two attempts. She is in having run 3rd on her latest at this class and distance on October 13th and from a good draw, Kim Yong-geun can drop her in behind the speed and she won't need to improve much, if at all, on that last start effort to win here. (6) MUHAN ARGO has raced just five times, and not at all since May, and while all she has to show for those previous runs is a 3rd place, she looked very well when 2nd in a trial two weeks ago and in this company can be backed first-up. (1) DAEHEUNG CLASS ran 4th at this class last time out over 1300M and that kind of run will see him in the mix here. We're struggling after those three, with (8) GEUMAK STAR and (4) NEW BORN potentially able to challenge for the minors.

Selections (2) Jedi Force (6) Muhan Argo (1) Daeheung Class (8) Geumak Star

Seoul Race 11: Class 3 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

Competitive finale. (7) FUN CRAZY comes in off three consecutive runner-up finishes, all at this class and two of them at this distance. He comes up significantly in the weights today, which is perhaps the only concern, but at his best, he can win this. (4) GEUMJEONSA returned from almost five months off to win over 1400M on September 15th. He comes up in class here and while he doesn't get much of a weight break, he should strip even fitter second-up and has every chance. (5) THUNDER A ONE lead for much of the way around 1800M on his first try at this level on October 6th. Back in trip to a distance he won at in August, he can be on pace again and this time see things out. (10) GEUMA FIERY and the up in class last start distance winner (2) CHAMJOEUN JILJU are the others to consider.

Selections (7) Fun Crazy (4) Geumjeonsa (5) Thunder A One (10) Geuma Fiery
